What do the intials CM stand for ?

This is probably the weirdest question I have asked on these boards.

My DH wanted to know what CM was when I taled with him about the people I spoke to on Disney Dining or Resort Resevations.
I could not tell him what CM stood for.

I thought of Communication Management or Customer Manager.

Does anyone know what the initials CM are ?

All people who work for Disney are Cast Members. When they are in view of the public they are 'on stage', when they are not, they are 'off stage'.

This whole performance theme is true of everyone from maintenance to food service, etc. - even the Disney Store, before they were sold.

This is the main reason that the utilidoors under the Magic Kingdom were built, so that Cast Members could get from one area of the park to the other with out being seen on stage in the wrong costume (i.e. frontier person in tomorrowland).

Good thing too. It takes FOREVER to get around the MK to get to work. It's a good workout, though!
