and yes make sure you are all in the same car-- if not it will only capture your car. You are better off using your card and just taping the photo that belongs to you
MBs should acquire photos for all linked, even if in separate cars spread out over the ride. although when the system fails this is the scenario where it often fails. I've had it work properly many times but also had a few misses.
The issue here is 7DMT does not have a scan point. You can only get the photo via the MB.and yes make sure you are all in the same car-- if not it will only capture your car. You are better off using your card and just taping the photo that belongs to you

The OP asked if only 1 person in their group bought a MB would they get the photo.
Yes it will see that band and link it in the Photopass account
But it wouldn't have any method to see others in her group, even if they are in her friends and family list since there are no other bands to read
So yes, they need to be in the same car, or near it. I looked at my Mine Train photos and it appears they get 6 people in most shots. 4 in the car plus 2 in the car nearby.
No. MB only come with resort stays or an APMaybe I have a MB question. If you purchase a ticket do you not get a MB for each ticket? I've been AP / DVC for last few years. All my trips, everyone gets a MB?? I'm not sure why only one would have a MB?

Those staying off site, or those local who do not buy an AP do not get a MB
Right - this is our situation. But, maybe we'll just get a couple of the cheapy bands and make sure our group is covered by splitting the band wearers up into two cars. Plus, it seems like its more convenient at the other photopass locations (rides, photographers, etc.). Probably worth the $25 for a couple bands.
Yes. Pictures are $15 or so eachIf you don't prepurchase memory maker can you still view and purchase your pictures after your trip?
I didn't see this mentioned:
there are photobooths around the parks, they are free and photos appear in photopass. Just use your hard tix or magic band to get them.
if your staying offsite you need a magic band in order to get ride photos from 7DMT and videos from the few rides that give you videos of you riding
Thanks for the info about the photobooths! Does anyone know where these are located? Or is there some kind of list of locations? We are pretty much newbies... haven't been to the other 3 parks but I did not see these when we were at MK. Will be doing all 4 parks this year with MM and I don't want to miss them!
I only recently learned about this myself from this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/photopass-photo-booths-and-memory-maker.3466509/

Although they advertise 30 days, the pictures stay in the que for 45 days. If you view the photos on the website/app, a date taken is given and a date expired is given for each photos. so 45 days from date taken.
I have not tested this yet but have been told memory maker is good for 30 days after the first download. So photos stay in que for 45days - you download on 45th day - then memory maker should be good for another 30 days. Maybe?? I wouldn't push it but supposedly this is it. So you could stretch MM out for 75 days - theoretically!!?? You can also purchase an extension on the 45 days to stretch even further.
You can download as early and as often as you like.
No pics will be included in MM within 3 days of pre purchase.
You can view/edit photos without downloading. There is an annoying watermark on the photos until you download and apply the MM.
Call before you try because these things seem to change often.
That's good to know. I was wondering if I would have to look/edit/download the pictures right after we got back from our trip. Sometimes things can get really busy when you just get back from vacation and I didn't know if I would have to add this to the list of things that needed done right away. Thank you for your help!
