My family is an older family. My parents are in their 60s, my sister is 30 and I'm 25.
I think the biggest thing to enjoy is that Disney is a judge-free zone. We had family friends, who are similar in age, join us this year. We had matching t-shirts and the brother and sister from the family said "we're gonna look ridiculous."
"No," my sister and I responded, "we won't."
Disney has this atmosphere where everyone's a kid. No one thinks differently of an adult wearing Mickey ears or riding the Goofy coaster a dozen times.
With that said... here's what we enjoy:
- The food - we always head to one or two Signature Restaurants, such as Il Mulino, Cali Grill or our favorite, Narcoossee's.
- Drink - It's fun to drink around the world. We went to a wedding for a family friend and when everyone arrived, the adults drank around the world. Be careful if it's hot out and remember to eat in between. Share drinks if you have to.
- Ride everything - it's fun - I promise
- If you golf, go golfing. The courses are beautiful
- Enjoy the pools. Sure, you could do that anywhere. But, you could also leave the pools and head to the parks. Where else could you do that?!
It's an exciting time at Disney. They're building up Disney Springs and it'll include a ton of new stores, amazing restaurants from award-winning chefs and restaurateurs and a great atmosphere.
