What Disney Restaurant Would You NOT want to go again and why?

Well I can safely say that we will not be trying 50's Primetime anytime in the near future. I really wanted to like this restuarant so much that in the past year we have tried it three times during three seperate trips.

The food is ok, the last trip my chicken was extremely dry and my DD's meal arrived cold, she didn't seem to care but it did bother me. My main problem was the service. It took forever to get a refill on drinks or the check. We had the same waitress twice and the second one wasn't any better. Neither of them played there part either which was a real let down. We also had very rude host at the front desk during our last visit.

mama melrose and captn jacks

mm-worst service EVER. mena old lady server was awful. took forever, food wasn't very good. huge letdown.

CJ-went at lunch, place felt very dirty and un-disney. food tasted like ti had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. nothign special. service was good though, but teh food just wasn't.

Askershus(?sp) at Norway for the Princess Breakfast!!! We all got food poisoning!!! Disney denies it, but the flu doesn't last that long!!! My poor DD, then 7 lost 4 pounds in just a few days!!! We lost so many days of our trip ( we were only our 4 th day into our 10 day trip), that I had to book a 7 day Land & Sea pkg to make it up to the girls:lmao: My DH still laughs at that!!

I knew that Disney would deny my food poisoning at Crystal Palace. I never even told them. I just tried to be a trooper for my husband and drank lots of water and took it slow at the parks. I was miserable!!!

Marrakesh in Morocco pavilion.
The atmosphere is awesome, but the food was not my thing. There was nothing wrong with it at all, but I barely ate that night! :upsidedow

I'm driving myself crazy by reading these threads:surfweb: ...by the time I get to WDW (in 12 more days:banana: ) I won't want to eat anywhere ...should be good for my diet:lmao:

Seriously...I hope our experience this next trip varies from all of you! I know this is a thread for negative experiences, but still I hate to read them (so why do I? This is really a "doh!" kind of thing for me to do.)

We've eaten at a number of the restaurants listed, as well as some that haven't hit this thread yet (like a PP said, sooner or later, every restaurant will end up on this list.) We have always had exceptionally good (and cheerful) service...thought food was always better than average, and in some cases really, really good...no food poisoning...nothing dirty except the floor...figured noise at family restaurants was normal...thought parents & character handlers did a good job of controlling the kids in the restaurants you'd expect to have a lot of families in (character meals at buffets!)...and never had any issues with out of control kids at non-character meals, either. Perhaps we've just been exceptionally lucky, or maybe it's something else.

One observation...I always wonder how much people's opinions of WDW restaurants is affected by the cost...I know some people do have really high (possibly unrealistic?) expectations of what they should be getting based on the $$$. Just a thought. We always figured the higher cost was just a "resort location" surcharge...you expect to pay a lot more in that kind of location. YMMV, I guess. Anyway, I have to go find a "love this restaurant" thread now to restore my ADR confidence.:rotfl: so I can go back to looking forward to our ADR's in less than 2 weeks.:dance3:

I think some of it is attitude. We love all things Disney so we tend to enjoy all the dining spots. Do some have better food than others-sure. But we tend to be very happy people. Just remember these are only opinions and for some places it may have been just a bad day or a bad waitress. Go with a positive attitude and have fun. I have gone to many places that get bad reviews and my family and I end up loving them. I love LeCellier but I am not sure what the hype is all about-I think there are lots of other places in Disney that are just as good. Form your own opinion and then read these posts anyway

Will never go back to V&A at GF after 'Albert' suggested how much we should tip! Then looked dissapointed at his 15% tip that added $80 dollars to our bill

WOW! That's horrible and the complete opposite of our experience there... I'm trying to talk my wife into going there again :rotfl:

I got food poisoning from Crystal Palace on my honeymoon!! It ruined the last four days of my honeymoon. We didn't even get to use all of our days at the park and I didn't purchase the option so that the tickets would not expire. I could not stop "getting sick" which is so sexy on your honeymoon. Plus the food was horrible. I actually ate off of the kids buffet because everything else looked so gross. I had chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. Maybe I'm in the minority here. But I'll never be back and I will not eat at a buffet at the parks. The only buffet I eat now is Boma because I love that place!!!!:lovestruc

My dd5 got food poisoning there, too. She was the only person who ate the chicken tenders and was sick as could be for the next 2 days. :( It could not have been a stomack flu--no one else got sick.

I would not go back (if I can help it) to Pecos Bills. Too hot and crowded with people standing over you like vultures to get your seats. Couldn't make it to the fixin's bar due to the crowds.

I realize its CS but they should have some CM stationed on the floor during peak times to facilitate the tables.

Food just ok -burgers were rubbery but I liked my taco salad enough but just not enough to bother going back.

Maybe it was the chicken tenders then, which scares me because we are visiting for a day on the 19th with my ds 13 months and my dh. DS will eat chicken tenders or grilled cheese. That's it. So now I'm scared he'll get sick. I'm eating at LTT for lunch so hopefully it will be better than CP. Of course, that's not asking much

I would not go to Coral Reef again, because the menu was very limited, and the atmosphere was a bit like Chucky Cheese - out of contol kids!

???? :confused3

Not that I think Coral Reef is great, but I do not understand the comparison to Check E Cheese? There are no rides, there is no pizza, there are no characters and there is no stage show.

Tusker House - The food was ok but we were treated horribly. Our server never came over to introduce himself and we felt neglected. :( One of the characters skipped right over our table! This is the only Disney dining establishment where we felt penalized for not having children with us.

Aww, I don't like hearing that. This particular character breakfast is the best buffet/character meal experience we have had in all of Disney. The food was wonderful, the characters were excellent and our service was out of this world.

I wouldn't worry too much as they aren't always bad. I've eaten more than my share and have never gotten sick from WDW's chicken tenders.

I agree, my DW (yes, wife, not child) pretty much lives on Chicken strips/tenders when eating at a CS place and she, nor i, have never been sick.. They are rather tastey

I wouldn't go to the restaurant in Mexico at Epcot again until I tried every other one first. :-) I've only been twice so I have a long way to go. I loved the atmosphere but the food just didn't agree with me.

Maybe it has something to do with a large Mouse character walking around (or swimming in the tank) and greeting people??? :rotfl2:

I wont return to Whisper Canyon Cafe... It was a VERY VERY big letdown for my wife and I last trip...

Why was it a big letdown?

I'm wondering because it was one I was thinking of taking my boys to this August.
