What Disney Restaurant Would You NOT want to go again and why?

Boma! Tried it twice ... not our cup of tea.

Tony's would take a lot of amnesia and arm twisting to get me back, but I MIGHT try it again sometime ... not a good experience last time - food icky.

We will probably never go back to Planet Hollywood unless we are desperate to eat and there isn't anywhere else we can get into!

Here are some spots we will probably avoid, at least for a while:

O'hana
Mexico
Whispering Canyon
Spoodles

I wouldn't say that I would "Never", but it would take a great deal of threats and brain cell loss in order for me to go back to Hollywood and Vine. I've tried it twice, and I've eaten food that was so tasteless that it took the taste that was in my mouth prior to eating.

The last time I was there (May 2007), the best tasting thing was the cranberry juice. And the place was dirty and the waitress, while good, was exasperated... like she was saying "Where did all these kids come from?" Hello? Disney...

Oh, and the frustrating thing is how pretty some of the food looked! It was so appetizing-looking that you can just taste the goodness. But then you take a bite and... Whomp! The taste just leaves your mouth!

As for me, I would go and get a CS meal, eat it while walking the buffet line, and pretend and imagine. Therefore, you leave satisfied and full.

And the second place I will be hard-pressed to go to is that Mexican restaurant: San Angel Inn. That place makes me laugh out loud!

OK, it's absolutely beautiful in there, and that is also a problem. As a diner, you feel like you're eating dinner as a monkey in the zoo. People, under the auspices of taking in the views, are naturally curious about the cuisine in this beautiful restaurant. Therefore, people stand there and WATCH YOU EAT!

Plus, you may even be seated at the dungeon of this establishment: by the bathrooms! LOL!:scared1: When we were there, I had to go to the restroom, and when I got near to it, there were a few guys who were giving me the "Evil eye." I paid it no attention at first, but on my way back, I realized why they were giving me the "evil eye." Just by taking the path to use the restroom, you were interrupting their dinner!:lmao: Also, they had zero view of the volcano, and the light of the restroom shined hard in their face everytime someone opened the bathroom door!

So Hollywood and Vine is a No-no (it was just gross) and San Angel Inn (because you are on display, you're so close to the other tables that you can just reach over and get the salt instead of asking for it; and you may be the unlucky joe that is sent to culinary purgatory which is the tables by the toilets.)

Captain JAcks! the food just wasn't good.

We have two -

Cape May Cafe - What they serve as "seafood" was horrid. The rest of the offerings were mediocre at best.:sad2:

KONA Cafe - Two years in a row, worst meal of the trip. Ambiance is like a loud, crowded coffeehouse. This place is such as huge fave here on the DIS, just doesn't do it for us.

I would say Planet Hollywood in DTD. The food was great, but it was just so busy. We were all stuffed in there like sardines.

Will never go back to V&A at GF after 'Albert' suggested how much we should tip! Then looked dissapointed at his 15% tip that added $80 dollars to our bill

Your first part described H&V exactly the way we have felt about it our two visits.

Your description of San Angel had me :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We would not go back to the Garden Grill. We just don't care for the "one platter, family style" meal there.

Hollywood and Vine for lunch! It was awful! If I were not on the free dining, I would have cried over the $120 bill for cold salads and sandwich meat!

LTT, our meal was bad, the service was bad which resulted in the cold meal....

Captn Jacks, took forever to eat here and it wasnt very good.

Not that I want to appear to be bashing Tony's because it does have a following but we'd never eat there again. Tried it twice and both times found it to be substandard fare. I also wasn't too wild about the 50's Prime Time but I had the stuffed pepper and it tasted like it was left on the counter for a very long time. Like a week. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their lunch, just not poor little ol' me. Also, I agree with another poster who said they'd never do a dinner buffet again due to actual hands picking up the food. That's why I switched to the first seating breakfast buffets this time around!!!:thumbsup2 We're doing Crystal Palace and Boma for those buffet breakfasts. Hope Boma's good:confused3 .

Definitely Tony's. I want to like it so bad because of it's location and atmosphere, but no matter what I order, it's just not good.

Tony's in the MK. DH & I both agree it is way to expensive for really bad "italian" food.

When our server there learned I was Italian & from NY originally she apologized for the food before it was brought out.

Chef Mickeys, the food was terrible. The service and character interaction was great but food stunk

1900 Park Faire breakfast, food was horrible, service and character interaction terrible

Spoodles breakfast, bad bad bad

H&V dinner, every aspect of this meal was lousy

I'm in with the anti-buffet crowd. We'll make an ADR at Crystal Palace because my daughter is a Pooh Bear freak, but otherwise ... just too much going on. Too much noise, too many people wandering around ... just too much.

Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern (CD).

GG... the food was absolutely horrid. The characters were adorable but the food was hands down the worst meal we have EVER had (anywhere)! Also, we were seated on the top section so you could not even see the revolving display.

LTT... the food was blah, not horrid, but not good. It was very crowded. The characters were cute, but tended to bypass our table as we were adults/teen (there were no photo ops). The worst thing... the restrooms are upstairs. I have severe mobility issues and cannot climb stairs, therefore I was resigned to using wipes to "wash" my hands as opposed to a real washing (which of course I both wanted, and needed, after a day in the parks)! :scared1:

We have been twice and we will not go again...

We tried it for the first time on our honeymoon... The atmosphere was nice and our server was also nice enough.... But we did not like the food at all...

We always give a place a second try if it had some qualities that we liked... We tried it again last May... We were doing the FDP.... We liked the idea of the quick seating at the show, so we thought we would give it another try...This time the food was terrible! We could not believe how bad it was... The sauce was brownish in color, the chicken was like rubber, the pasta dish had way too much oil and too many spices... Again, we liked the atmosphere and our server... But the food was so bad that we had to force ourselves to eat.... It is too bad.
