Keebler Tato Skins

Banana fudge/pudding pops.


Can you tell I was a kid in the 80's? The funny thing is, is that my mom pretty much refused to buy everything except for the Tidbits and banana fudge pops. I guess those other items stick out so much because they were a treat to have.

Peanut Butter Boppers. For those who aren't familiar, they were logs of peanut butter rolled in crisped rice and mini chocolate and peanut butter chips. I think they may have made a comeback at some point, but I never saw them...they probably didn't taste the same anyway, as often is the case.

I concur with Pudding Pops, Magic Middles, and Tato Skins. Sigh, the 80s had the best snacks...

However, one thing that I've been mourning the loss of for years, but recently came back, and still tastes as good as it did in the 80s...New York Seltzer!

My grocery store has Tato Skins. They aren't made by Keebler, but the bag looks the same and they taste the same.

Loved these cookies! I think they were covered in powdered sugar. I keep looking for them in the store even though I haven't seen them for years.

Plantars Cheese Balls were my #1. Also, Ore-Ida had a cheesy hashbrown cake that was SO good. My mom would make those for weekend breakfasts. And, the Ore-Ida Frozen Mashed potatoes. The only mashed potatoes, other than REAL, that taste good.

Dr. Pepper 10 is probably the biggest discontinued food/drink item I miss. It was just the perfect mix between regular Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper.

It was some sort of store bought sugar wafer cookies. I use to eat them all the time growing up.

Keebler never really made them. It was some sort of distribution deal. I'm pretty sure the TGI Friday's potato skins are made by the same company, or at least one of their successors.

Funny story about my affection for Lifesaver Holes:

My mom’s best friend’s father(following me?) was a higher up at a Lifesaver’s factory. We took a road trip to Tennessee and she told me that if I could be quiet for the entire ride there, she would get me a whole box of Lifesavers... So I did. She brought me a whole box of Lifesavers Holes. I was eating them for like two years

Ugh yes... And when they do tey to recreate them, they take either the healthy route(no thank you ) or the cheap route. Dollar Tree Dunkaroos are NOT the same thing and Gushers do NOT gush anymore.
