Just curious what your teens felt were the best things to do and see and what not to miss. I have 2 teen girls and a 17 yr old boy. We go in June. Thanks.

I went to WDW when I was 16 so I'll tell you some things I liked :teeth: . I LOVED staying at the parks late until they closed. I thought it was fun riding the big rides when there were no lines late at night. Teens will probably like sleeping in a day or two and going to the EMH's which will be very late (probably til 1am) during the summer.

I also thought the AK was a really cool park- I thought the safari and Dinosaur were awesome. Your teens will also probably like EE, which will be open in June.

I also loved the water parks as a teen. I thought the theme at BB was neat and the wave pool at TL was cool.

Your teens will also probably LOVE DisneyQuest!! It is SO much fun! Its safe for you to drop them off there for a few hours while you shop at DTD.

HTH! -Stephanie

I have 2 teens DS & DD & they both loved the rollercoasters. Aerosmith, Space Mtn, BTMRR, Splash Mtn, etc. They also loved Pirates, HM, Mickey's Philharmagic, Indiana Jones, etc. My DS also loved the restaurants! I have another younger DS so we wanted to do Character meals. They all enjoyed these & had fun with the characters. :thumbsup2
Other than the rides for the much younger kids, my 2 teens tried alot of things & seemed to enjoy themselves. There's something about WDW, even teens get into it & have a great time. There really is something
for everyone. :wizard:

My 20 somethings loved renting sea raycers, Blizzard Beach, and DTD. None of them cared about watching the shows or fireworks.

They all thought my favorite EWP was corny.

Hey y'all! I am 14 years old gonna be 15 yrs old as of May 10th. My brother is 17 yrs old currently. We've gone to disney world 5 times. Me and my brother loved going to the water parks and just going to the pool relaxing you know what us teens do! Just let them decide what they want to do and you should be good.

MGM....hands down! My DS 12 and DB 16 loved everythign about MGM. Also, don't look past a character meal.....I think of all of us (ages 7 through 57) my 16 yr old brother had the BEST time at Chef Mickeys!!

There isn't much my teens don't like. They love the coasters. They love all of MGM and AK. DS isn't crazy about MK but dd loves it. Both love EPCOT. They love Social Studies in School and really enjoyed all of epcot future world and the countries. We actually spend 3 days there usually. DS loves to eat in all the countries. They love BB and TL. Love DTD.
Love Disney.

Like another poster stated,,,MGM ALL THE WAY! :cheer2: :cheer2:

My kids have been numerous times.. Now teens they run, not walk to MGM and do TOT, RNR and Startours to start off with. :moped:

DS not crazy about shows or parades anymore,,,,DD loves them

Over in MK, absolutely need to do Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Haunted Mansion :bounce: :bounce:

Epcot the must dos are TT, MS, Soaring,

In AK, not really too much if you are not into shows, but with MT Everest coming, that will surely be a hit. Plus the KS is good as well :cool1:

I had this same problem when my son was 17 and decided that Disney was not cool and "why waste the time and money?" So I came up with a checklist of what HE wanted to do. I listed every single attraction and diversion and had him and his father give it a ranking (I had about seven from YES! to No, way Jose). I was shocked to see the results. My son absolutely had to do the Great Movie Ride and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. His favorite park turned out to be MGM. I never would have known that. I did make him go to Hoop Dee Doo and he scoffed but ended up almost beating me up for the chance to play the washboard during the finale.

That same son is now almost 24, married two years with a seven year old stepdaughter and his first child on the way. And he's taken his young family to Disney World twice. Rubs off.

Our 13 y/o loves Epcot, and the 16 y/o's favorite is MGM.

Their favorite show is Lights, Motors, Action! (they are really into cars)

They actually like the fireworks (not necessarily the parades). They claim IllumiNations! is their favorite. They like Fantasmic! as well.

They love the water parks (Typhoon Lagoon is their favorite) and Disney Quest (I think they could spend days in there!).

They like to walk around Downtown Disney and West Side at night.

Their favorite places to eat are 'Ohana and Rainforest Cafe. They loved getting those monstrous sundaes at Beaches and Cream.

They loved swimming at SAB...especially the slide!

Wow! Thanks everyone. I appreciate the input and I think I've learned that everyone has different ideas of what is cool. We have 7 days. Our plan is to do a park a day our first 4 days and maybe throw in an afternoon or two of water parks and pool time. Our last three days will be fitting in everything everyone wants to do. Disney quest, water parks, airboat ride, go back to what ever parks we want to do stuff in. Now I really think Chef Mickey's is sounding like fun. My problem is do we want to waste a morning at a buffet when we could be hitting the Disney pavement in the AM avoiding the crowds and heat! So much to do and so little time.

My son (17 last trip, now 18) LOVES the Adventurer's Club. On our last trip in October, he said he could just stay there all night. He has a very intelligent/sick sense of humor and this is right up his alley. He's been on stage several times and just loves it. He said a number of time he would love to have his wedding and/or bachelor party there when he gets married.

My DS (now 15) enjoys pretty much all of WDW. His favorites are RNR, TOT, TT, MS, Space and Splash Mtns.,Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl, and on and on and on.
He also had a great time making a roller coaster at Disney Quest. Since I was NOT going on with him I let him make as crazy a one as he wanted. I just watched from the outside. Sure had a lot of zero gravity moments with that crazy coaster he made.
We have been on three father/son trips to WDW and can honestly say he enjoys just about everything.....although I could not get him to go on It's A Small World :confused3 .

When we went in Sept, our 2 boys 22 stayed with us for a little while them they took off on their own. We met up for lunch and dinner though. They were in the same park as we were. At times they would call us and meet up with us again. Pretty much make sure that they stay together and report into you at certain times stay at the same park as you do, just in case they are needed and have a cell phone etc for contact. In the park text msg worked real well as sometimes one cannot hear the ring of the phone over the din of noise. They can enjoy themselves and your DH and you can enjoy yourselves. :sunny:

I just returned home and had my DS 17 with us, let me tell you what I suggest for you..... a day at Universal Studios and IOA ! my DS had more fun there than Disney, but every kid is different, he did like the RNR, & TOT at MGM, MS, TT (although this trip it was closed) at Epcot, Dinosaur & EE at AK and not really anything at MK. My DS is a big roller coaster fanatic, so his taste may be different than your kids

What is adventures club?

Adventurer's Club is in Pleasure Island. It's kind of hard to explain. It's kind of a continuing comedy show, where the patrons become part of the show. Like I said, kind of hard to explain. :lmao:

tracidee,

My son, age 15, loved Disney Quest, and spent the whole day there by himself, from 12:30 pm to closing that night at 11:00 pm. We also went on every thrill ride we could find last year but the look on his face when I suggested we go to Downtown Disney and shop for a couple of hours was priceless :scared1: . He is NOT into shopping at all!

I might suggest you break up your days in the parks, we have never been able to go more then 2 days straight at a time. A break in the middle is nice!
