What did you play with?

Gette88 - I had a Mrs. Beasley doll too. She went everywhere with me!! Now that I think about her, she was kind of creepy looking:D I also had Barbies, barbies and more Barbies. I also loved to put together the plastic tracks and play with my matchbox cars. They worked great down the stairs. I remember having a Holly Hobbie sleeping bag and lunchbox.

Great thread - it's nice remembering how it was back in the day....:teeth:

My sis was the Barbie person. I was more a tomboy and loved Hot Wheels cars. I still like browsing when they're cheap and have some of my favs around my bedroom (I still have to rest under my bed) A child at heart I will always be.

HoneyPooh- YES! Colorforms is what I was talking about. I loved them. Do they still make them?

AMClvsMKY- I still love Mrs. Beasley. She's not creepy, lol :D

I played outside all the time with my four younger brothers and sisters. We rode bikes and climbed tons of trees.:D

It was all about horses when I was growing up. I never did like dolls.

Inside it was Breyer horses. Outside it was pretending to be a horse. When I turned 8 and was old enough to take lessons, I was always at the stables riding. :)

Notice how the guys arent posting lol

Barbies but not a lot... i played school and trip A LOT....and there were these like Playmobils things or something like that.
I loved Matchbox cars and legos.

Maybe my mom can help me out? lolol

Well, I am not a boy, but I was a tomboy! I remember for xmas when I got my first race car set..it was the one that went up the wall and back down..I think I was 7..but it was the best gift! I loved riding my bike...it was such a sense of freedom. We had bike trails right down from my house and I walked and rode my bike all the time (until I could drive;) )

I never had barbies..ok I think I might have gotten one or two, but the boys I played with thought it would be more fun to chop their hair and see how long they took to melt. So that didn't last long.

I loved playing sports..especially football..I played on the girls rugby team in college!

I also LOVE board games..I still do. My Dh is sick of them now becuase I made him play too much! LOL! When I was home sick..which was all the time when I was little, I loved watching the scrabble game on TV and the win lose and draw..and all the others. My Step-father and I played Backgammon all the time. My brother really liked Stratigo and Clue, but my favorite was Monopoly. My briother and I would play the same game of Monoploy for days! (He told me later that he used to cheat all the time and I still always beat him..it pissed him off LOL!!!) He is 3 years older.. When we got older we did Trivail Pursuit, Parcheesie, Scattagories, and Taboo. DH like Outburst a lot and Tribond!

AHHHH...I remember the fun times!

Baby dolls. I loved baby dolls. Still do :)

for me it was my play kitchen set, Fisher price little people with camper, barn, school. I also loved to play school and libraian, I'd check my magizines in and out. I did with with dolls somwhat giving them their shots, well baby check ups etc. I also rode my bike everywhere, read, babysat my brothers. Rode horses.

I had barbies but never realy played with them.

As a child I played with barbies. My sister and I were mostly into stuffed animals, I played with them the way you would a doll and they all had names :D strange names mind you, I was going through some sort of phase and all my teddy bears had food names like "crackers," "banana split," "Berry." Fond memories, thanks for the reminiscing.

Me too!! It was like my favorite doll before I discoverd barbies. What was up with her????? Who would make a creepy looking old lady doll and why was she such a hit???

I had a Mrs. Beasley doll too. In fact, I still have it! Mrs. Beasley was made popular by the TV show Family Affair. The little girl on the show, Buffy, had one that she carried with her always.

Barbie! I had only one since back then there was only one to choose from!! I also had "Midge". My Barbie had an orange Corvette. I didn't want "Ken" because I did not want anyone else driving the Corvette. If she needed a date I would use my small Raggedy Andy doll!!:D

My favorite childhood toys:
#1 favorite--my stuffed "Snoopy" dog, who was an orange and black dog named Henry--my mother knew the real Snoopy would be dingy gray in no time.
#2 Raggedy Ann and Andy--we had the illustrated books and I loved these.
#3 Fisher Price Little People (House, Town and Castle)
#4 Jigsaw puzzles.

Had some Barbies and enjoyed playing with them, but the others just stand out so much more in my mind.

Thanks for the memories!

I always wanted the fisher price castle. I played with that stuff too when I was really little. I still have a lot of it and my kids play with it.

Does anyone remember that they used to have these snoopy dolls you could buy and you could buy outfits and stuff for them??

I always wanted one of those.
