What did you just discover that seemed cool to you?

We just recently discovered Tower of Terror. :teeth: I mean, we knew where it was (can't miss it! :rotfl: ), but had never ridden it...neither DH nor I care for drop rides. But, we finally decided to do it -- gotta do every Disney ride once! And, guess what, we LOVED it! All this time we've avoided it like the plague, and we LOVED IT! :rotfl2: Went on it 4 more times that day alone!

I'm really embarrassed to say that in ALL the years that I have been going (first year was age 4 and I'm 38--- :ssst: ), I have never noticed the small bronzed statues that surround the "Partners" statue in front of the Castle. I just got back yesterday and this was a brand new discovery for me. Took a pic of each and every one of them--Pluto, Minnie, Dumbo, etc. Now, if I can just figure out how to get them here. :teeth:

The back of Cinderella's castle, especially at night!!!

I was there about 20 years ago and while waiting for Fantasy in the sky to begin I plopped down on a bench due to exhausation (sp?) and looked up and It took my breathe away. I never knew how beautiful it was!

My son and I had a pleasant surprise back in March 2005 in a shop on Main Street. It was in the sports apparel store which I think is called the Athletic Club. Not only did the store have great looking sports clothes but it had some neat displays. At one side of the store near the windows we saw an old antique mechanical baseball game that looked like it was from the 40's or early 50's.

My son wanted to play it but I told him that it was probably only a display and it most likely wouldn't work, but as it was only 10 cents, we gave it a try. What a surprise! It worked! My son and I spent about half an hour popping in dimes playing this great game.

I've never seen anybody mention this game before so I don't think it's that well known. I hope it's still there as we plan to play it a few times again when we go in early December. :Pinkbounc

On our last trip in '05, I discovered the "light up" sidewalk thing at EPCOT. It's very cool!

All over between Space Ship Earth and the big central fountain. I think the lit up sidewalk sections also extend down a ways on either side of Space Ship Earth, as well...someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct.
I've always thought the little tiles on the ground that light up are pretty magical looking. They're great. I probably discovered them 3 years ago, so they are pretty new to me too.
:goodvibes

We rode Carousel of Progress for the first time a few weeks ago, and we loved it!

With all the times I've been on It's a Small World...I just recently noticed that the clock that you walk by while in line...actually works....and its actually the right time!

Although it scared the heck out of me at the time, I just dscovered the "thrill" of watching "Wishes" from Fantasyland. Although you don't really get to see the Castle projections, and I only got a peek at Tinkerbell's flight, seeing the fireworks all around me was very cool.

As a kid my parents never took us to Tom Sawyer Island. When I started taking my own kids in 1999 we stumbled upon it - we just wanted the cool raft ride - we had no idea where it was taking us. WOW! This is one of the highlights of the MK for my boys. It does take some time - the raft ride over, running around the caves & passageways, playing at the frontier fort, and then the raft ride back. But if you've got at least 45 min. to play around & have a great time experienceing something new - try it!

I couldn't agree more. My family and I use it as sort of a tool that wastes time. Like if we have a fast pass for splash mountain that can be used in an hour we usually go to Tom Sawyer's Island and play around for a bit and have fun. Then, we just hop off the raft and we are ready to hit splah mountain.
Good Times.

Well this is not really something we didn't know was there, we just never did it. This summer, the new Pirates of the Carribean movie came out a few days before we left for WDW. We decided while we were down there, to watch the movie over at Downtown Disney on a rainy day we had. The best part about it was right after the movie was over, we went over to the Magic Kingdom and decided our first ride of the night should be Pirates! It was great bringing the movie to life if ya know what I mean!

Wow, that is so cool.
I wish I would have had that opportunity.
Over the summer when I was at home and I went to see 'Pirates' 5 times I kept thinking about how nice it would be to ride the re-vamped ride.
Oh, well, I'll get to ride it in Nov.
Soon enough I suppose.

We discovered this last December but it appears to have been removed with the recent renovation to the PotC.....

The pirate who has an eye patch over both eyes.
He used to be on the ship in the battle scene.

Sitting outside of the Noodle Shop in Tomorrowland to watch wishes; it is a neat perspective despite not being that close to the action. It is a pretty popular spot, since it was always filled up. After all these years of going to Disney, DH and I have just discovered it this past May, and only because we needed a break from being in full speed commando mode all day :) I'll be sure to take advantage of this location next trip. :thumbsup2
