What did you have for dinner last night?

Nothing....I didn't eat anything for dinner, I wasn't feeling well at all. Must have been tired too, I fell asleep at 9 on the couch, got up around midnight to go to bed, woke up this morning at 9:30.....lol

Our friends invited us over for a barbeque last night. Well, it turns out that her mother and brother were in from out of town, and her brother is a gourmet chef. So let's see...

We had salmon filets, grilled to moist perfection, in a delightful mango chutney sauce. Jumbo shrimp, and I don't know what that sauce was, other than it was to die for :rotfl: Grilled artichokes, again with a wonderful dip. A delightful vegetable medley that included asparagus, broccoli, and baby zucchinis. All accompanied by a choice of two wonderful wines, a Rodney Strong Chardonnay that we brought, and turned out to be even better than we remembered. Or a wonderful Bernardus Pinot Noir that they provided.

My mouth is watering, just remembering the meal.

Oh, believe me, it was! And I even forgot the first course, a scallop curry bisque. And the dessert, sherbet and biscotti.

Glad you're feeling better! Yeah, I work 9 hour days (but get every other Friday off). It's amazing how long that extra hour can be. At one time I thought it would be heaven to work 10/40; but now I'm not sure I could handle it. Glad you're acclimating.

Burrito night! Haven't done that in a while, long over due!
The kids always love it - as they get to create their own!

:)

I'm on week 2 of the 10 hour days.....and I'm working 5 days a week. It's hard but I need the $$ and I keep telling myself that after I'm done with the 10 hour days I'll be able to get up at 6 and work out. LOL Of course I have NO idea how long I'll be doing the 10 hour days..... :) I need friends who can cook like that! LOL

We ended up having hot dogs last night, it was too hot to cook. lol

Grilled pineapple teriyaki chicken burgers ,ambrosia salad and strawberry shortcake.

I made oven baked chicken with capers and roasted veggies, it was good! :)

Went out for a Cheese Burger and fries at a bar. Delicious meal out.

Made cheese burgers on the grill, and sauted some onions in foil on the grill. Letting my original dinner marinade over night.

Last night we made Chinese food at home, it was stuff I got at Trader Joe's....orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, shu mai, egg rolls...the shu mai was really good, the egg rolls not so much. For us this meal is like going to Panda Express but at half the price. I grabbed it all yesterday while we were shopping at TJ's. :)

Chicken on the grill
lays potato chips
A&W Root Beer

Had to piece a meal together.
