I'm just starting to pack for my trip in three weeks. I've got all of the normal stuff - clothes, sunblock, comfy shoes, etc. What is the thing that you thought of when you got to the park that you forgot to pack?

I'm going to move this to the Disney World Tips Board.

The one thing that I like to keep on hand is handwipes. Not hand sanitizer...handwipes! They work great for cleaning up little messes when a trip to the restroom just isn't practical.

And a Ziploc bag that's big enough for my camera. I like to keep it dry when I'm at the waterpark or on any wet attractions.

usually everything I really wanted to bring in the first place. Definatly get a back pack for storing stuff in. And not one of those things with strings, one they hurt and two they leave awful sun tan lines. Especially when you're gonna go on fast rides and have no one to leave your things with, I just slip the straps in around each leg and it winds up with me in the end, even on rock n rollercoaster.

Hats, they come in handy so much, but so easily forgotten around here.
Pillows, no matter what hotel, having your own comfy pillow is worth it.
Mr Bear and Big Mickey... can't travel without the two. Big Mickey got left behind once and it was a sad sad trip without him.
20 gigs of memory for your camera. And then you'll still use more. Bring a couple memory sticks, just incase one freezes up or something, you'll have back up. Then when you get home, you can take it to a repair shop to see if they can still retrieve the images. Or else your only option is to reformat and loose everything on it.
Sign up for a photopass share or start one. They'll bombard you from the moment you walk in. And well sometimes the pictures turn out really good. And when you're only paying 15-20$ with a share, definatly worth the extra cost.
Mister or mini fan.... those things feel soo good. I have one myself and usually only remember to bring in a few times a year and yell at myself the rest of the time.
Get a tankini top or board shirt, especially if you want to go on kali river rapids, you will get soaked, and at least you can keep a dry shirt in the center compartment for when you walk into a.c. and the tanki will dry fast enough. Plenty of people walk around in bikini tops, but it's really not appropriate and looks awful.

mad4themouse - and when it's the 3 o clock parade followed by the 4 o clock rain.... you'll never know when you'll get caught off guard.

Buy a decent rain poncho/jacket, the ones at disney are a pretty good quality at 7$, but those cheap ones for a buck are usually only good for one use.

Most things you forget you can buy when you get there. Through experience, I found that you cannot buy a belt. They do not sell them anywhere at any of the parks at the World. Not even at Downtown Disney. Somake sure you pack one!:thumbsup2

Curling Iron if you use one. Forgot mine one trip and with super straight hair had to wear a hat most of the time.

Great ideas!! - ecspecially the belt! I never thought of that.

Not so much as to what i forgot to bring w/ me, but what i forgot to bring in the parks w/ me. I should've brought an extra battery for my video camera (the fireworks shows and parades can be quite long. one parade sucked a ton of life out of my camera for the day. so i had to be careful about what else i taped so that i'd get a lil of everything thru the day.) also, if you're a girl, a pony tail holder is a must when you get off of the water rides and i like to pull it back before i get on all of the roller coasters or other thrill rides so that my hair isnt wind blown and frizzy.

Gum! because you can't buy gum in Disney!
A couple disposable shavers! Because who wants to buy a whole pack at Disney resort prices (Although if you get a waxing a couple days before your trip, that should get you thru 2 weeks)
Benedryl for that unexpected allergic reaction
:)

Oh, and I second the suggestion to bring extra memory card for camera! I took videos of fireworks and that took up a lot of memory!
I think the second card is better than a much larger card, because as sandrA9810 mentioned, if something goes wrong w/ 1 card, swap it out and start using the other. (check both before you leave home)

DH's flip flops for the pool area of SAB at BC. He was very not happy..that pavement was sandy and hot

Chargers for electronic devices (cell phone, camera)

Something to sit on during the parades and Wishes:) Sidewalks get really HARD:) One year I took a small padded fold out item and wow!! It was great and last year, I forgot!!! Not the next time tho.

Purchase a second battery for each of your cameras and be sure to take it and charger with you. My dh was never so mad at me as when we got to Notre Dame in Paris and the batteries in BOTH cameras were dead (ok, why was he mad at ME when HIS camera battery was out??). We were fortunate to find a camera shop to partially charge it for about $15, but we had to hang around for 2.5 hrs while he did so.

Amazon carries generic chargers for less than half what Best Buy charges, and I've been very happy with them.

Camera, extra memory cards, case to hold extra memory cards, camera battery charger.

I also usually buy a disposable waterprof camera. You can get them at Target for like 8 bucks, they are great for water parks and resort pools.

I like to give my DDs, 8 and 10, disposable cameras to carry in their bags. It is amazing how their pictures always capture things I don't notice at my eye level. I always have my kids carry a little backpack with their own sunblock and chapstick.:dance3:

Don't laugh, but I use icy hot on my FEET at the end of the day and it really feels lovely. Had forgotten it last time and really missed it!!!
