What did you buy at WWOHP?

Yes! That is the Hedwig puppet I was referring to. She is beautiful and so incredibly soft and made the most realistic sounds! You will love her! Replica wands were approximately $30 w/ tax (save a few dollars with AAA).. They are amazing though, we now own Sirius Black and Professor Snape wands! lol

I'll have to think about the wands. If I do get one, it'll be Hermione's.

Hermione's was by far the prettiest and most desirable to me, however in my case, my kiddos (DD13 & DS18) picked.. I didn't buy anything for myself. But if I did, it would so have been the dress robes or at least the Gryffindor tie for a Halloween costume! Not to mention a time turner and Hermione's wand! haha

No kidding! Yes, there was a lady in line for Ollivander's with us that was playing with one, it was totally amazing in it's "realisticness". My daughter said she saw it for sale at one of the stores, but I didn't, however, I did see it in the SKY magazine on our flight home, or at least the 24k gold plated one that was quite pricey!

OK, not spelling a wizard's name doesn't sound quite right:rolleyes:, but other than that they may just be made from two different manufacturers or at two different times. We bought one chocolate frog when we were down the first week of June and got Ravenclaw - thick cardboard with a dark, dark blue background. Just a few weeks ago we were traveling and had a layover in the Orlando airport (fun, right?) We grabbed two more frogs getting Gryffindor and Hufflepuff - Gryffindor is the same quality as the first, but the Hufflepuff is a much thinner paper stock and a much brighter blue background. It looks to be cheaper quality and I was thinking that they might have changed to lower manufacturing costs, but it is definitely two very different types of cards. :confused3

THANKS Nickarooney... yes, give me an orlando pitstop anytime... lucky you. Thanks for answer... i noticed even between some of the thicker cards, some seem almost purple while others more blue... must definately be different manufacturers. I do like the thicker cards better myself :) and agree, the spelling error is suspicious :) thanks for your time/reply.

Hello, I think I can help you as I´ve got my cards by buying them at universal (lucky me I bought 3 chocolate frogs and got all different cards! Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin). My two cards feel to have the same weight, Rowena´s card on the back is completely blue with white letters and Slytherins has also white letters but the middle part where it´s written the color of the back is black. Name not misspelled in mine. Another difference is that on the Slytherin card its back is not as smooth as my other cards you can feel the texture from the hologram on the front. By the way my Hufflepuff card is exactly the same on the back as Ravenclaw, no idea why Slytherin is black in the middle or doesn´t feel as smooth.

Thanks cagenot... i see what you mean.. i just felt the cards... and the blue cards have more of a smooth plastic coating. didnt notice that before. So same as nickarooney... you purchased both at Universal. Would love to know if anyone got a BLUE Slytherin card with a spelling error :) Thanks for your time/reply :)

Shirts:
Honeydukes: 2 Chocolate frogs, 1 box of Bertie Bott's Beans, 2 Cauldron Cakes, and one apple covered in caramel, chocolate and choc. chips

Cauldron Cakes!! i didn't see those... how cool... what were they like?

Solid chocolate about the size of a softball with a marshmallow top (green). I didn't buy any candy as I read on here that it really wasn't very good and you'd have to carry it around all day if you didn't eat it all and it would melt in the heat. Not to mention the $9.95 price tag!!

Cauldron Cakes are in the sweets display at Honeydukes and are chocolate cupcakes with chocolate mousse inside. Ah-mazing.

The cauldron cakes in the "sweets case" were more like cupcakes and FRESH! I would imagine they are much better than the chocolate cauldrons I was referring to. Sorry! lol

You guys are making me hungry!!! LOL!!! I am guessing that you can't see which card you get with the chocolate frogs? That's what it sounded like. :P I'd have to look for the time turners...they sound very cool. Meredith, did your daughter happen to see how much they were?

Hi I am going in 4 weeks and am hoping to buy a Gryffindor fleece, do they sell them and how much are they about?
Also what do you think the queues will be like?
:)

What about christmas ornaments?? Our tree is about 50% disney ornaments and I'd love to add a few HP ones! Like maybe a mini-hedwig? Or a sorting hat? I sure hope they have some cute ones.

:goodvibesIs there any Luna Lovegood merchandise at the park? Thanks.

I was just talking to a friend about this, there was a Quibbler sort of thing, but no Lund wand. Can you just imagine her wand? It would be the most interesting I am sure. They could even carry converse tennis shoes (that look like Luna's) or something. But I didn't see anything else Luna...

With the exception of the wands, there really did not seem to be a lot of character specific merchandise for many of the characters. DD7 would have loved a Hermione t-shirt.:)
