we are at the end of strawberry season. Made strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight

The garden is giving me lots of cucumbers this year. Yesterday I made 1 large jar of refrigerator pickles, today I made 3 regular jars of refrigerator and canned 6 jars of pickles. I still have a drawer full

I made some amazing banana pudding (copycat of Magnolia bakery’s $50 pudding and tastes exactly the same) and some unicorn cake pops for a birthday. I made 2 types of unicorns and they turned out so cute.

Fruit Crisp! Our stone fruit subscriptions have been stellar this summer. We're eating so much fresh fruit -- yum! I used a mix of apricots, pluots, and white nectarines for the crisp. No sugar added to the fruit itself and half the amount of brown sugar for the topping. So good!

This week. I made then baked the New York Mac and cheese recipe with 4 different cheeses. It was pretty good. I have enough cheese left to make it again.

I am trying to get motivated to make some brownies. I want to eat them, but not in the mood to bake them. . . I know, silly when brownies are so easy.

DGD baked sugar cookies and BIG chocolate chip cookies while visiting on Wednesday.

Fla4fun Have u tried the brownie one. That is choc chip cookie in the bottom them brownie mix. Then no bake Philadelphia cream cheese.
You swirl the top two and bake.

It’s pretty cool….just an angled stainless steel straw covered in frosting with m&ms stuck to it. I just made a boxed cake in 2 6.5 inch cake pans (had batter leftover that I made a few cupcakes with) then I trimmed down one of the cakes so that the Kit Kat would be taller than the two layers of cake. frosted the cake then stuck Kit Kats around 3/4 of it. Filled the top with M&Ms and then stuck M&Ms along the side to look like it was cascading over. Then I just stuck a small m&m bag on the angle of the straw. I saw it on an Instagram reel. Here are some pics of the process

Remember I was talking by about hermit bars? This is my version:

'Tis the season for chocolate cakes! My DH's aunt is coming over tomorrow to celebrate her birthday, and she loves chocolate.

So I made this cake, with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate buttercream frosting.

All individual parts are made and refrigerated. I'll take a picture once it's assembled in the morning.
