French apple pie.





The first piece is often messy.

Inspiration came from @Micca who asked in the fruit poll if apple pie counts.

I used raisins and lemon juice/rind In addition to the apples so each slice counts for three servings of fruit.

Dolly Parton’s coconut cake mix. I just made it plain in a 13x9 pan instead of her two layers with frosting recipe.

Today is DD17's birthday. As is tradition, the birthday boy or girl gets to choose what we have for dinner and what they want for their cake or other type of dessert.

She chose quiche and strawberry cake. My oven will get a bit of a work out today.

I am making blueberry muffins in remembrance of my granddaughter who passed at 6 years old. She loved fruit and especially blueberries. She will be gone six years tomorrow.
