Orange Sugar Cookies sound wonderful!!!! Recipe please!!!

Orangy Sugar Cookies


Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter -- softened
2 tablespoons grated orange peel
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Sift flour, baking powder and salt onto waxed paper.
Beat together butter, orange peel and sugar with electric mixer until fluffy. Stir in orange and lemon juices. Stir in dry ingredients until blended. Chill several hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Roll dough to a thickness of 1/6". Cut out with cookie cutters and place 1" apart on cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 minutes, until set and lightly golden. Cool on wire racks.

Not exactly baking, but I bought the ingredients for some simple fudge at the store today. Might as well really celebrate Christmas in July!

I am so excited how these "popcorn" cupcakes came out for my granddaughters 6th birthday party (movie theme). My DIL sent me a pic of what she wanted and I said I would give them a try. They came out so cute!! Everyone loved them! I made all the cupcakes yesterday and then decorated them this morning. The popcorn is mini marshmallows that have 2 to 3 cuts in them to give them a kernel look and the yellow "butter" is edible glitter dust.











I cut 600 mini marshmallows but it was worth it. Each cupcake had 20 mini marshmallows on it and I made 30 cupcakes.

My daughter and I made cannolis from scratch today. I also made chicken soup with matzo balls. It was a rainy day, and my car’s in the shop, so I had a lot of time on my hands…

Well, it's that time of year again...several friends have insisted on giving me zucchini out of their gardens. What do you do with the stuff, especially when the goal of baking with zucchini is to come up with a result that doesn't taste like it has zucchini in it? Every year I pull a random recipe off the internet and give it a go, always returning the final product back to the grower. This year it's been blueberry zucchini muffins with streusel topping and they've turned out pretty well!
