What did I read about packing detergent?

I can't find small disposable bottles of Woolite or the little packets so I can hand-wash our bathing suits every day. Anyone have any suggestions other than filling up a small travel plastic bottle?

go to magellans.com-they sell individual packets. There is a link in the message i posted under this thread

thanks for the info. on the tide tabs, found a CVS location near and will check it out this week, i have checked wal-mart , k-mart, krogers, etc. with no luck . last year you could find little boxes for a 1.00 in the travel section at wal-mart. should have picked up a couple of boxes! :earseek:

Shotensteins/Value City have Wisk tabs in their add this week for $3.99 I think 24 load box. So if you are in the Midwest check it out.

This is what I did--go to a local laundramat and buy individual boxes of laundry soap there. Take them unopened in ziploc bags, in case they leak. The advantage is that you have them for your trip, instead of hoping that they don't run out at the laundrymat at your destination. Also, if they're in a sealed, labeled box they shouldn't arouse suspicion.

I buy the little boxes from my laundromat vending machine for 50 cents a box-- I think that is a little cheaper than the WDW vending machine.

I'm sorry to hear the tablets are difficult to find! I haven't started my search for them yet, but hopefully there are still some out there! I found a marketing site on the web that said that the tablet sales were really low, so maybe they slowed down the distribution of them.

Another great travel laundry idea are the individual packets of Shout wipes. You can throw them in your purse or bag, and use them to quickly clean those ice cream and mustard spills! I have seen these at places like Target before, so hopefully they are easy to find.

I had better start to look for those tablets now! I picked some up last year at Pathmark here in New York. I was in a fairly large supermarket this weekend in Pennsylvania and they didn't have them. I'll check Targets tomorrow and if not there I'll hit the websites provided!

I haven't found laundry tabs anywhere around here. I may go back to putting laundry powder in baggies. I have a few more stores to check, maybe Target.

Worse comes to worse and I can't find the tablets, I'll buy small boxes that are sold in public laundry facilities. They're small, and less expensive that what I'd pay in WDW. I don't want the big boxes nor the problems some have had with Security and the "bags of white powder". :teeth:
