What days count as "weekends" when it comes to hours and shows?

I am going to Disneyland in October, and had an understanding that DLR's weekends were Friday and Saturday nights.

I was just looking at the summer schedule on disneyland.com and I noticed that Sundays are open late as well. Is this just a summer thing, or does Sunday count as a weekend too?

Reason I am asking is because I have read that in October, Fantasmic! and World of Color will probably be only playing weekends and I want to make sure to fit them both in. Also the later hours will be nice.

Sunday does count as a "weekend" in the off season. With the rumor of a DL TRick or treat party and early closure to regular guests on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday nights, no one really knows what nights F! will show.

Thank you! Well I would love to be able to make use of those extra hours, so hopefully they won't shut down the whole park for the Trick or Treat party. Do you need to dress up for those parties? I don't really like dressing up, but it might still be cool to go.

LOVE your signature photo! My DS is a huge Stitch fan.

Don't know when you are going in October, but Columbus Day (Monday) is a "weekend" type day too -- busy, showing Fantasmic, and later hours.

One "glitch" in October may be the Trick or Treat parties, which could shut Disneyland early on Friday AND Sunday nights. They haven't announced dates yet, so it's all speculation.

For a super-fun and informative thread with loads of pictures (and up to the minute speculation;)), check out the Halloween Superthread here.

No you don't need to dress up, but many adults do.

Thank you PHXscuba! I've been a big fan for a while. :)

Well I am hoping the tickets aren't very pricey for the TOTP, cause I think it would be neat to go, even if we didn't dress up. There are four of us coming down from Canada in a car, so I don't know how much room we will have in our car for extra stuff anyways.

Me and my family are going on a cruise on August 3rd and we were wondering what the BEST food is. I have 4 picky eaters(including my sisters kids) and I was just wondering if you think there is something they would like!

There are enough types of food and places to eat even the pickiest will be happy.
