we are planning to book for 5 days, any days, but we will be booking hotel before flights(as flights not available yet for our departure)
So, to book nights at Disney and get the best rates available, we hoped to leave on Saturday, returning and return on Thursday, but would a Sunday -friday flight be better? or Monday to Saturday(hopefully parks not as busy weekdays too! :wizard: )

Out of those choices, I would avoid the Sunday-Friday. Those two days tend to be higher in terms of prices. Typically, Tuesday, Wed, and Sat are the cheapest days to fly.

Have fun!

Can you leave on a Thursday or Friday? Usually if you're gone over a weekend it's cheaper. I know when I looked leaving Saturday was quite a bit more. We happen to be leaving Friday. If you can though I would go Thursday-Tue. You should get good prices those days, and they're not as popular travel days so you have a better chance of the plane/airport not being packed!

I have always flown on Sunday's and gotten great airfare other than the Sunday after Thanksgiving .We usually leave the Sunday before and return on the Monday. I think it depends on where your going to and leaving from. Book the days you want usually can adjust a bit.

We are leaving from buffalo, and i have watched SW prices and it seems that Sundays have been double the price of other days. So, i think we will book Monday to Friday.

Depends if it's a popular travel time for that location. If so, Fri-Sun. may be blacked out. If not, all days "should" be fine.

We're flying Hartford-Orlando on a Sunday this August and returning Orlando-Hartford on a Tuesday -- both internet-only fares and both the same price. Was pleasantly surprised that Sunday wasn't blacked-out, but the Fridays were.

Last May we flew Sat-Sat. Southwest internet-fare and it wasn't a problem. Perhaps because Spring break didn't overlap.
