What countries would you like to see in Epcot?

There needs to be a match with character/film for each of the countries, so short of "The Rescuers Down Under", not sure how Disney would incorporate Australia, although I think it's the best choice by far.
Why? This is Epcot, not the MK or DHS, where the Imagineers now have to rely on movies to come up with ideas. When Epcot originally opened WS, you had to look pretty darned hard to find any Disney characters or movie references. Off the top of my head, I think the 3 Caballeros was all there was. WS was a place to showcase a particular country, not just a backdrop for a Disney movie.

Eh, I definitely don't think there needs to be a character/film tie-in for the countries. A lot of the current countries ended up matching but that's not how they started. And a lot of my fave stuff at WDW started with no character/movie tie-ins (for example: PotC, HM, JC, Spaceship Earth, Expedition Everest......)

Africa is so well represented on property already with AK, AKL, The Outpost, oh and yeah Morocco is already one of the countries and last I checked, that's in Africa :rolleyes1, so I don't think they need another African country.

I do hope there is a new country added to World Showcase sometime soon though.
It would be so exciting to experience something completely new!

No, there really doesn't.

I completely agree there doesn't have to be and WS certainly didn't start out that way, but as we've seen in recent years, it's what they want.... $$$$$$ if anyone doubts this, just refer to Norway's recent refurb

I vote South Korea. My boyfriend is Korean and is constantly complaining that he can't have Korean food at Disney. Also it would be great to add Soju to those drinking around the world! :drinking1

You are totally right about all that. However Africa is a big, diverse place and there are 3 North American nations, 2 Asian, and 5 European nations with pavilions, there's room for more Africa, and Asia, and Pacific Island Nations, and South America, and everywhere else-the more the merrier!

Egypt would be cool especially with its history. India offers great dining and cultural attractions plus both have awesome theming. Australia is an interesting concept but I'm not sure what a 'Australian' pavilion would look like.

I'm for South Korea, Brazil, or New Zealand. A new country really should be able to stand separate from existing pavilions to prevent the feeling of "Oh, this is just like the other one over there!". Unique culture, food, sights, costumes, etc.

Personally, I'd rather see a massive Australian expansion to Animal Kingdom. The continent is large and varied enough (outback, rain forests, reefs, etc) that I feel it's so much better off in that park (and gives the Nemo show a home, similar to Lion King in Harambe). Could have a second Safari ride, through the Outback, etc. Even allow a Barrier Reef exhibit that would bring more needed water exhibits (aka place to cool down) to that park.

Russia! Sing along with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf on a magical nuclear submarine voyage! Olaf bumps into the missile control panel and accidentally wages war on Norway! But it all works out in the end when Elsa discovers additional powers, which unfortunately causes everyone to go bald.

Love it! I'm voting for Russia!

Ancient Egypt theme would be cool too.

Japan & China because I love the shops! Very cultural and unique items!

As easy to do as Canada or the US.

I don't necessarily agree that there has to be a character tie-in for each of the countries. Morocco was there before Aladdin ever came out. Norway opened before Little Mermaid and certainly before Frozen. However, if they did decide that they needed to have tie-ins, Finding Nemo would be right at home in Australia. I still contend that it would fit better at Animal Kingdom since it is a continent as well as a country and there is just so much that can be done with the area (zip line style ride over the rainforests of Cairns, EAC water ride, area with koalas and kangaroos, etc.) but I wouldn't let the lack of movie tie-ins be the reason it didn't come to Epcot.

Australia.

Australia would be so awesome! So may GREAT landmarks there... Sydney Opera house, Sydney Harbor Bridge, Queen Victoria Market, Great Barrier Reef... They could incorporate the outback and the aboriginal art and culture.

I've got to get in here and vote Russia, Ireland and Australia. All three would be gorgeous pavilions.
