General Star Wars Discussion

Disney is pivoting away from ST, whether you admit it or not folks. They understand what makes money and what the fans want. It’s over and the ST lost…many of you fought hard though, I will give you that.

Andor feels more and more relevant each passing day. Thanks Kathleen Kennedy for giving us one of the best and most impactful Star Wars under your watch.
That very few people watched and made no money for Lucasfilm. Most of Netflix’s top 10 on any given day would blow away Andor’s viewership.

Whoosh.....

I thank KK for a few things that happened on her watch:
- Mando 1-2
- Rogue 1
- and her stepping down recently

Other than those three things her leadership did significant damage to Lucasfilm. Her leadership decisions greatly damaged Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Willow.

Being a big Maul fan since Phantom Menace, im excited for his show, even if its animated.
the real character development of Maul is only in the animated. He is compelling in Phantom, but that is just a small fraction of his story as compared to what gets fleshed out in Clone Wars and Rebels. I would love to see more live action Maul (and Ventress)

Honestly, I'd rather Star Wars go with more animation going forward as they can take more risks and explore the storyline and lore better than in a live action show. Rebels is some of the best Star Wars content.

Rebels is peak Star Wars! I generally agree that animation is better, especially for the TV/Streaming shows.

So few people watch animated shows & movies though. It just doesn’t seem like the main storyline could ever be primarily animated. I will say the line between live action and animation is becoming increasingly blurred and will continue to do so.

I'm not saying don't do live action movies, just focus more on animation for television.

Hoestly, I do think a big-budget animated Star Wars movie could work and get big audience, but it would have to be made by like Pixar or something, and I don't think they'd want to do that.
