What costumes will everyone be wearing at Mickey's Halloween Party 2013??

Hooray, I just got my dress in the mail for my costume, and it fits! Now, the question is, how do I grubby it up? We're going as HM ballroom dancers and currently the dress is quite stark white. What can I do to make it grubby and old looking? I was thinking of rit dye but wasn't sure if that would work...charcoal or something? :confused3 Any ideas?

Grounded coffee should work, just mix it with a little water ad rub it down on the dress.

Maybe put it in a big with charcoal or ashes and shake it around.

My 4-year old wants to go as Minnie Mouse. I'm from the UK, and unfortunately we do not have the variety of costumes that's available in the States.
You guys are so lucky!

I came a link through this site that has a lovely mouse costume for only $19; and with coupons for 20% off them too! Unfortunately, the shipping costs from the States makes it prohibitive ...
(minimousecostume.org)

(Sigh!) If only there was a big costume store over here too ...

If you are staying anywhere near a Walmart you can order on line and pick it up in store. That's what I did last year they have some great costumes.

I'm going as an "older" Minnie Mouse lol. I found a black and white polka dot dress at Walmart for $9.99, bought some black tights, red ribbon for my waist and ordered a Minnie headband from Amazon for 7.00...looks pretty good! Could you pick up a polka dot dress for your daughter at a department store? She could wear it again afterwards for different occasions. A little red ribbon, tights and a headband...you can even pick one up at a Disney store when you get to WDW. Good luck and have a great time!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm looking forward to dirtying it up. Can't wait! (Anyone else's family getting tired of hearing you count down? Lol...I can't help it...they just roll their eyes at me now )

My 3.5 year old son wants to be a care bear for Halloween (Funshine Bear to be exact). So I think we are all going to be care bears, DH is going to be Grumpy and I'm going to be Share Bear (purple). I'm having trouble though figuring out what to do about the ears. All the do it yourself care bear costumes use hoodies and attach ears to the hoods, but it will be way too hot to wear a hoodie. I was thinking maybe buying some Mickey Ears and painting the ears the appropriate color for each bear. If I have extra money I may even personalize each ear hat with the bear's name. Do you think this would be cute, or would it ruin the care bear outfit. I'm still undecided. Help!

I would just make some ears out of fleece or felt and put them on a headband. Much cheaper and much easier than Mickey Ears.

It's official. Partner and I are going as Michael and John from Peter Pan a week from tomorrow on the 17th. How I was convinced to walk around in public in pink footie pajamas, I will never know.

We will also be covered in glitter (pixie dust) so if we don't drop dead in the sweltering September humidity, it should be a blast.

Now we are rehearsing what to say when people ask us "where's Wendy?"

:)

I'm wearing an Evil Queen shirt I made along with a mirror/apple necklace. The hubs is going as Tony Stark-I made him a shirt with a glow in the dark vinyl of the arc reactor. The toddler is going as Minnie and the baby is going as Daisy. We are so excited!

That sound so fun!

Awe man, I would have loved to see you guys!!! My mom in law and I will be there for the party on the 20th, but I'm a huge Pan fan, I have the beginnings of a Disney arm sleeve and began with Pan.

Sounds so cool!

The lesson of these costumes, to me, is that you can find absolutely anything on the Internet. I could not believe it when I googled adult pink footie pajamas and 20,000 options came up.

Because we are major Bama fans, DH is going as Nick Saban, DS (4) is going as an Alabama football player, complete with "shoulder pads" and helmet, and I will be the crazy fan! I'm so excited! I just need to find that gray vest Nick wears...

DD 5 is going to be Lilo, DS 2.5 is going to be Stitch, and the adults will be in Hawaiin gear!

I'm planning on going as Vanellope from Wreck it Ralph, and I'm just hoping it's not so hot my upper half will be sweltering, but not so cold that my lower half will be freezing.

And naturally now that my costume is 99% pulled together I kind of want to dress like someone else. :sad2:

Forgot to say my costume... I'm a minion and my mother in law is going to be a fairy grandmother.
