What costumes will everyone be wearing at Mickey's Halloween Party 2013??

Because we are major Bama fans, DH is going as Nick Saban, DS (4) is going as an Alabama football player, complete with "shoulder pads" and helmet, and I will be the crazy fan! I'm so excited! I just need to find that gray vest Nick wears...

Do you live near Tuscaloosa? Campus has a lot of options & sometimes Woods & Water, off Skyland does as well. Good luck =)

Thanks for the suggestions. I've looked and had a couple of friends look for me as we'll and can't seem to find the vest anywhere. Nowhere online either. I wound up buying a plain grey golf vest and a friend is going to embroider the A on it for me. When it's done it will be very close to the one Nick wears! I love that my DH will definitely wear it after the party as well. :)

Great ideas! We are going Oct 3.
DD will be Kevin and DS will be Carl.
I finally finished DD's costume! It took forever but I love it :) Just hoping she's not too hot.

Also hoping DS will keep his glasses on LOL

I can't convince DH to dress up but I'm thinking of going as Ellie. Probably young Ellie in overalls... we shall see!
19 days!!!!!! :cool1:

Our costumes were a huge success - however, the kids stripped them off a little after 9 p.m. due to the heat. I kept encouraging them to take them off earlier, but they were in love with them and didn't want to.

My daughter's had a fan inside to keep her cool. My son's was all vintage from 1984.

We had no problems with the mask. I specifically asked security and a lead cast member if my daughter's mask was against rules, and she could see fine out of it, so they had no issues with it whatsoever. The kids received rave reviews and compliments all night. My son ate it up, my daughter thought it was strange that people were so in awe of her costume (to be fair, she's not a big Ghostbusters person unlike my son). Out of the two of them, my daughter was constantly stopped and asked for pictures. She was actually being hugged on and danced with by a bunch of kids at the Monster's Dance Party.

So, DD will be the 60s, DH will be 20s, sister will be 70s, bro in law will be 90s grunge, and I will be the 80s!

Great idea!

We have a group of 6 adults and we are going as Mousketeers. I will be Annette (may she rest in peace) since I am the "leader." We will also have Bobby, Darlene, Sharon, and Cubby. The outlier will be my MIL who is going as herself, the "long-lost Mousketeer" with her own name on a shirt! For some reason, she didn't want to be a real Mousketeer. :confused3:rotfl:

We'll be there for the Halloween night party and we are so excited to see all of the awesome costumes!

Awesome! Glad she was able to see and the CMs allowed her to keep her head on. :rotfl: Sounds like an amazing night! :goodvibes

My costumes has been officially decided. I'm being the Sarah red gown from the German Musical Dance of the Vampires and Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments (as played by Lily Collins from the movie). The ball gown my mom's making for me and I'm putting together the Clary costume.

Your the first person that ever referred to the Dance of the Vampires. I saw show in NYC with Michael Crawford and Max Von Essen singing "For Sarah" which is one of my all time favorite musical theater songs!

Loooove these costumes. I would go ahead and be young Ellie if I were you, I think you'll have more fun :thumbsup2

I need to read through this thread to get more ideas but I'm thinking I can go dressed up in 80s garb- I think if I make it outrageous enough (think like totally big hair bow and bangles to start with) someone might "get" it! I'm in a rush to pull together a costume so if I cannot find a good store bought one, 80s might be it!

I'll be at the party by myself for a night (waiting for my fellow vacationer to arrive by car)... I'm planning to wear a simple vintage-y dress and a grape soda pin to be Ellie from Up. :)

I've posted these in some of the other thread's, but here are my and my wife's costumes we're wearing to MNSSHP on 10/6--

We are going on the 17th.

We are:

Jessie from Toy Story
Mary Poppins (Holly Jolly)
Alice in Wonderland
Ghost from Haunted Mansion
Chimney Sweep

I went as Ariel in her Sail dress on Friday night, (10/4) those people who got it, really loved it, as did Ariel and all the CM's in her meet & greet!

We went to the Oct 6th party as rapunzel (me, complete with braided wig), Flynn rider (dh), and Pascal (our 15 month old Dd). Pascal got so many wonderful compliments throughout the night..and meeting the real rapunzel and Flynn rider was amazing!!
