In your opinion what costume do you think I should get my 3yo DD to wear to breakfast with Cinderella?

I wanted to surprise her with a princess suitcase filled with costumes. She can take it as her carry on on the plane.

I got her the tinkerbell costume for the Family Magic Tour. I still need to get her one for breakfast and one for the Bippity Boppity Boutique.

I would just ask her but I want it to be a surprise!

IMHO I would not get her a costume, per se, to wear to CRT. We went to CRT with DS6 in March over Spring Break. You have a photopass photographer take a picture of your family and Cinderella, or just your daughter and Cinderella, you decide. When we went, in the restaurant, Belle was there in her everyday dress, the blue one with a big white apron, and Jasmine was there in her Arabian type outfit, Snow White in her primary colored dress, and the fairy god mother. So think about what you would like your daughter to look like next to these characters in the pictures that you are sure to take.

When we went, we saw several little princesses all dressed up in their costumes. Fancy Belles, Cinderellas, etc etc., but two of the cutest little girl sisters we saw were all dressed up in very princess like dresses that were obviously not character dresses. They had the big, long flowing dresses with big bows on the back, beautifully dressed up hair, and maybe even a tiara, with hair ribbon flowing down. They were adorable. They looked like princesses that were attending another prinesses ball, if you see what I mean. They were unique and there wasn't another little girl that looked anything like them, but they fit right in with the mood of the event. So, that is what I would recommend. Dress your princess up in style. You may be able to find some great dresses on sale now that Easter has past.

If you wanted to add to the story of a princess eating at another princess' house, you could fashion an invitation for your daughter as if it were coming from "Cindy." If you are really crafty, or into scrapbooking, or handy on the computer, you could make a short little story book about the event and set the tone for it by the story that you tell. That may be over the top for some, but for some people, they can whip that kind of thing out in a heart beat...but again, just IMHO.

We loved breakfast there. DD wore a belle dress - but any princess or character dress would be perfect. I had made a beautiful cinderella dress that I wish she had worn since we had about 10 minutes of one on one time with cinderella prior to breakfast and it would have made for some even cuter pictures.

Last year my DGD age 3 & I took a trip together in Nov. I had bought several Princess costumes from Disney Store when they went on sale after Halloween (some were $10.00!!) She wore a different one every day for part of the day. We used Pocahantas for AK, Jasmin for Epcot, Sleeping Beauty for MK, etc. Everyone made such a fuss over her!! Characters called her "Your Majesty" and even fellow tourists asked for her autograph. The pics of her with her "matching" Princess are great!! princess: princess: Of course Nov was cool enough to get away with this - some of the costumes would be too warm for summer. This year we are using the same costumes for my 2 nieces (age almost 3). Just remember extra clothes to change into later. Have Fun!

That dress is adorable. I don't think that you need to be anxious over whether or not the dress is an official Disney dress. She will definitely look like a princess, and from what I could discern, CM and characters all over will pick up on the fact that she is dressed up and ready to play, play acting with her. Don't second guess yourself and think you need a different dress.

Have a wonderful time at CRT. We did. A fun little story...Snow White kissed my DS6 and laid a beautiful lip print on his cheek. I was so busy watching that I didn't have the camera ready, so Snow White let me get the camera ready, and she kissed his other cheek. For the rest of the day, my son walked all around with two big bright red kisses on his cheeks. Everyone in the know asked him which princesses had kissed him. He was quite proud to say that Snow White kissed him twice. What was hilarious was when Push, the talking trash can in Tomorrowland saw the "lip marks" on his cheeks and asked who kissed him. When DS told him, Push said, "Oooo, I'm sooooo jealous."

Relax. Let the magic happen.

I have to add that almost all the little girls were in full princess regalia when we went to CRT. Mostly Cinderellas I would say, but plenty of other princesses too. My daughter chose to wear her Snow White dress on her own. We had 3 different ones to choose from. So maybe you can lay out all the dresses when you surprise her, and the day of the CRT she can pick the one she wants to wear. There's NO WAY I would have presumed to choose for my DD3 on such an auspicious occasion! :scared1:

That is a good idea. I like the idea of an invitation. I could even mail it!!!

I bought her this costume because I wanted her to look really special but then thought maybe I should do a Disney dress.

I love that costume! Your dd is going to look beautiful! I don't think you need to do a "Disney" dress. This one is cuter and more unique! I'm taking my dd(4) to CRT in September and I'll have to look for something too! Hope you have a great time!
