Hi All,
We are still in our rookie year with our 5th wheel. I approximately 2 weeks, 21 hours, 15 minutes, 3.827 sec we leave for FW, our first trip to the Fort. (Been to WDW several times.) I assume they have RV stuff at the trading posts. What cool Disney stuff do I need to get at Disney for our new 5th wheel?

Ken and Sue

Hey, I've been to Florissant, I think.

Anyway, they have a ton of stuff there.

Hmmm. A tire cover, tag, window decals, magnets, seasonal mickey awning lights, blanket, Fort Wilderness apparel, notepads, scrapbooks, playing cards. That's all I can think of right now. I'll get back to you next week! Leaving for the Fort tomorrow!:thumbsup2

There is alot of nice stuff at the stores in the campground, but it will cost you a pretty penny.

We love our tire cover! :goodvibes I plan on getting the throw when we go back. Oh, and dh has the magnet decal on his truck! :thumbsup2 Mickey lights are a must..you can also find an assortment of colors at DTD Christmas store.

Have fun!!

Don't forget a little rug :) About 24x40??? Approx. $20. We have 2 from different trips (different designs) .... one at the inside front door of the camper and one at the kitchen sink. Makes me smile on EVERY camping trip we go on and wish I was back at FW!

Like others have mentioned, I also have a FW blanket on the bed, patio lights, mugs, FW pens & post it note cube (always needing to make notes in the camper!), jackets ..... I'm sure there's more. Oh, and a picture frame that stays in the camper. HOPING to get a tire cover this trip - they're always sold out of the size we need.

Thanks all. I was sure Disney would have plenty of things for me to spend money on. I thought I would get some ideas so I could prepare myself to "limit" my fun getting things for the 5er. Plus, that will give me an excuse to go back ( like I need another reason).

Last Saturday (10/13) at the Meadow Trading Post I saw a set of awning patio lights that are a Halloween Mickey Pumpkin motif. They look like the Mickey Pumpkin Antenna thingy!! The price wasn't too bad - $14.95 for an 11 foot strand.

Ft. Wilderness Tire Cover (check)
Ft. Wilderness Camping Nut Throw (check)
Ft. Wilderness Rug (check)
Ft. Wilderness License Plate (check)
Ft. Wilderness Tee Shirts (check)
Ft. Wilderness Coffee Mugs (check)
Ft. Wilderness Can Coozies (check)
Ft. Wilderness Decals (check)
Ft. Wilderness Beer (pricey)
Ft. Wilderness Peacocks (PRICELESS - Don't leave Ft. Wilderness without them!)

Right now, go to Amazon or something similar and order the book The Next Exit. I recommend it so often, I ought to get a kickback. But I promise you'll not regret it.:thumbsup2

The tirecover!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, my spare is underneath my camper, or else I would get the tire cover myself.

However, they have a HUGE selection of "body parts" kitchen stuff right now. (It's a good thing I'm leaving tomorrow. I keep seeing neat stuff for the camper)

I think I need most of those things too!!! Hope we don't go over our weight limit!! Thanks for the picture. And thanks to all for the good responses.

We have purchased several of the Mickey Head strand lights on the past couple of trips but never used them. The last trip we bought the pumpkin ones and I decided to put a couple of strands up. Oddly enough they don't have a plug on the end to hook multiple strands together. If you plan on buying and using a couple of strands when you come, bring extra cords. The main plug has a plug on the back so you can at least run power to the middle of your awning and run one strand left and the other to the right..

We find ourselves buying stuff for the kitchen in the camper every trip..

I solved the light problem by buying the Mickey Head lights and just taking the globes off of the string it comes on and putting them on where I wanted on standard end-to-end strings from Wal-Mart. I had 5 strings of orange lights up this last trip and added the Pumpkin Mickey Heads.

sometimes I think I'm pretty resourceful but others are like this. I was going to see if I could put the end plug from another set in them to and strands and the idea of putting the heads on a different strand never entered my mind:confused3 .
