What common phrases do you hate?

I hate it when people say "my bad.''

Ahhh, I think that's kind of cute! My niece started saying that when she was about 2 1/2 when she would do something naughty - like spill her drink, etc.

Don't know how she started it as she was anything but 'abused' LOL.

I can't stand 'OMG'.

Yes! I swear I was going to post the exact same thing, word for word. My boss says this all of the time as a response to questions I really need help with! It's not a rhetorical question, I was looking for a real answer!

My boss says it all the time too, but in response to us complaining about something we cannot change.

The one that irritates me is "prolly" instead of "probably." Both written and spoken versions.

I'm not southern, and I don't use it myself, but if you are going to write, "y'all", at least write it correctly. I see it written "ya'll" all the time. Can't you see that the apostrophe takes the place of the missing vowels in "you"?

Well, I'm 'deep south' southern and we say these things all the time (prolly is reserved for family). I also write y'all, as such, and have personally never noticed it otherwise.

Actually, we grew up with a lot of 'sayings'. My dh is constantly surprised at some of the things he hears me say, or others, from the area I am from (he is not from the south).

At the end of the day.

Literally.

Amazing.

Not for nothing...

Well I, for one...

"Dude"-said by anyone but a surfer."Drinking the Koolaid"-a horrid reference to mass murder."Baby Mama"-absolutely awful.I'm sure there are more, but those come right to mind.

I don't necessarily hate it but I never got the saying "the best thing since sliced bread."

I don't mind Helicopter Parent (not that I love it, because it's so derogatory), but I cannot stand "snowflake."

Also, when people say they "pop their kids on the mouth," the term "politically correct," "have a good'n," and "my bad." Plus all the racial slurs, homophobic, bullying slurs, of course.

I call my DD Snowflake McSnowington. I like the way it makes her roll her eyes.

I hate the term "playdate"...why don't they just call it what it is "having coffee with my friend while our 6 month old babies sleep in their carriers"

I hate man cave!
And the word busted. For example: the bag busted and my groceries spilled on the ground.
Baby daddy.

That's okay - we still like you. :)

We just make fun of you behind your back. ;)

Was out to lunch with my friend the other day and the guy behind me said "what kind of pop do you have"

I rolled my eyes, which i didn't realize I do. friend starting laughing at me over it.

behind my back haha ;)

"It is what it is". Probably b/c I'm more of a when dealt lemons turn them into lemonade kind of person. Or I have misunderstood the meaning. Does it mean one must accept b/c it can not be changed?
