What common Boyish/Girlish things do you NOT do?

I think the main benefit to them is that they're made for smaller hands. Making them pink just feels condescending.
Our home builder got us a tool kit (like the ones in a zipped up bag) as a gift when the house was completed and we were closing. They were the smaller designed ones which I really appreciated especially the hammer. It was a bit funny because our construction manager was like "I'm sorry guys I only have a purple one" and both my husband and I shrugged.

They do make those kits in other colors though. I have seen pink, purple, black, grey, etc.

I would totally buy a blue set if there were multiple options. The pink=girl thing just annoys me, especially as a woman who loves all things blue. 😄

By now I'm used to implements that were not necessarily designed with me in mind like say right handed scissors. The left handed versions feel uncomfortable in my hand and I can never keep the angle:(. As for home maintenance tools I despise the lower weight hammers that come with some cute kits. Gimme a 14 oz model and let me get the work done in this lifetime;). And yes pink is impractical and condescending. Not spending my life cleaning light colored tools...

I like the hammers because it fits more comfortably in my smaller hands. I'm personally safer that way and when you're working with tools being safe should be one's priority. I'll use the heavier larger ones and have in the past but it's for sure a preference for the smaller ones when I feel more comfortable using them with their size.

Anyone regardless of gender should be able to use the tools they feel more comfortable with though.
