What color is your ceiling?

I was just talking to someone the other day who said she'd painted her kitchen ceiling the same color as her walls and her plan this weekend was to change it back to white!

I guess that's the good part - it's fairly easily changeable if you don't like it. I would be tempted to try it.

Most of our ceilings are white with one exception. Our sunroom. We put tongue and groove fir on the walls and vaulted ceiling, and I wanted it to be all one color. Monochromatic. ;)

Everyone from the architect (who told me white reflects the light in a room, but with a ton of windows I didn't see it as much of an issue for us) to the builder to my DH was kind of trying to talk me out of it, but I really wanted to try it so we did. And it's awesome. Everyone likes it. (Though admittedly it's different for a sunroom.) We went with a Cabot semi solid stain, I think it was called Driftwood or something like that. Neutral and fairly light. Coordinates well with a slate floor and outdoorsy furniture and feel.

It's fun to try new things in decorating. I say give it a try! :goodvibes

white, all of them are white. None of the walls in our house are white but the ceilings are, they are painted white to match the baseboards and window trim. Our living room is Toasted Almond (Behr I think), it's a light brown, the white looks great. Our kitchen is a pale yellow, the kids' bath is a pale blue, DD14s room is Tinkerbell green, DD's is Cinderella blue, our master bath has light beige walls (similar to the living room but a couple shades lighter) and our master bedroom is half white and half light green, in other words 2 walls are white, 2 are light green. The white ceilings look fine, our ceilings are NOT popcorned they are textured just like the walls. :)
