We are going to the BCV's for 8 nights starting Thanksgiving week. This will be our 1st trip this time of year so what do you pack as far as cloths. We could use some advise from the PRO's who do November and December on a regular basis.
Shorts a must for the days and pants for the evenings?
Each day could be different, shorts today pants tomorrow?
Should bring more pants than shorts.
I read where the average Highs for Nov. & Dec. are 79 & 73 but how accurate is this and what is your experience.
I haven't a clue what to pack.
Thanks for any advise you can give.

21 more get-up !!!!!!

We did a mid-November trip in 1996 where we had to wear pants the whole time because day temps were only in the low 60's. On the other hand, we've gone the first or second week of December and it was in the low 80's and wore shorts all week. So be prepared for anything! :D

We've gone often in Dec. and experienced warm and cold. Take some of each and use the washer and dryer. DVC makes it so easy to pack and not overpack. Don't forget sweatshrits for evenings or you'll be buying out the stores. Have fun. I'm jealous!!

Since the weather could in one day go from mid 70's down to upper/lower50's I would suggest a pullover style nylon jacket thats a little big so you could layer a sweater or sweatshirt under it if needed. Also we are going in december and all 4 of us have a couple of pairs of "zip pants" you know the pants that zip off on the pants usually a little above the knee - so if you start out with them as shorts you can easily turn them into pants and vice versa plus they are very light and not tight so you could bring a pr of long thermal underwear(you can get some that weigh nothing and can fold down small enough to fit into a quart size ziploc bag for adults)so you can go into a bathroom and layer them under your pants - wish we had them in oct 99 when we were at Fantasmic - we ended up buying a couple of beach towel to wrap around us to stay warm.We always bring a hat, sunglasses and 2prs of sneakers 2 bathing suits,2 longsleeve shirts, 3 sh sleeve shirts 3 prs of shorts and 2 prs of pants. We also always bring one "nice" outfit but as of yet we have not used them. My best advise is think layers - just in case.;)

Remember you have washers and dryers in the 1 and 2 bR. Studios use the community washers, location of which I don't know at BCV Have fun!

From my experiences in Jan and Nov. I'm packing a bit of everything. Last January was actually warmer than Nov. of 1999....I forgot to pack shorts for my ds (except for his swim trunks!) and though on our Nov. trip it wouldn't have been a big deal it was definitely too hot last Jan to be without shorts. Don't count on being able to buy the clothes you don't have at WDW....there were no boys shorts to be found. Luckily we found a pair of zip off pants that convert to shorts!

So I pack for the kids to wear layers (leggings and a cardigan or sweatshirt over a short sleeved dress for dd....zip offs, tshirt and sweatshirt for ds) and for the adults I try to have shorts and jeans, short sleeved shirts and sweatshirts. We've seen it cold in the mornings and evenings but very warm in the afternoons to hot all day. We've not seen really cold weather.....but have coats along just in case! We don't tend to pack warm hats and gloves though....assuming that if it was that cold we'd just avoid spending too much time outside (as when its very hot...like in the summer!).

The washers help. We generally only pack 3-4 days worth of clothes for each of us....and could probably get by with less.
