I was hoping you US/IOA regulars could help me (again). What charcaters are we most likely to see during our Oct. trip? Is the Grinch year round or just a Xmas time? Do they sign autographs or is it best to just do pictures? TIA, Melissa

USF:
Curious George and the man in the yellow hat: Kid Zone and sometimes near Terminator.
Woody Woodpecker---KidZone
Spongebob--by Lucy tribute also by front gate and in the Nick store by Jimmy Neutron
Jimmy Neutron--by Jimmy Neutron ride, Lucy Tribute, and front gate
The Rugrats---Lucy tribute and front gate
Dora--front gate and by Lucy
The Flinstones--in front of Shwab's pharmacy (leaving at the end of Feburary)
Scooby Doo & Shaggy---KidZone
Shrek, Fiona and Donkey---between Shek theater and Monster Cafe
Doc Brown--numerous places
Marylin Monroe---By Lucy tribute and sometimes by Shwab
Lucy and Ricky---same as Marilyn
Barney---by Barney show
Fievel---Fievel's playgound in KidZone
Mummy stilt characters---in front of Mummy
Popeye and Olive Oyl--near Shwabs or Lucy tribute (they are only available until the end of this month though)
Madagascar characters--in the plaza as you exit Central Park, sometimes at front gate
Some new characters are coming the first of March
Blues Brothers--on a backstreet near Mummy and Louie's retaurant

IOA:

Spider-Man--across from Spiderman ride and in Alterniverse store across the street from Spiderman store
Captain America---across the street from Spiderman store
Popeye & Olive Oyl--ToonTown
Merlin--Lost Continent near Dueling dragons
Cat in the Hat--Suess Landing
Thing 1 & Thing 2--Suess landing
The Grinch--Suess landing
Other assorted Suess characters--Suess Landing
Sinbad characters and the Beetlejuice characters after their shows.

You won't have problems seeing characters as they are everywhere. Marvel Super Hero Parade is almost hourly. The other characters are out multiple times a day.

I have to add one to USF...ZORRO! MIB999999 and I were there the other day and he was nonchalantly hanging around (leaning on a pole, usually) just past La Bamba on the walkway there.

I think after Spiderman, he is MY favorite character! :rolleyes2 :smokin:

Guess it's good to have a special character in EACH park! :thumbsup2

Oops! I got all distracted there and forgot to finish my post!!! :rolleyes2

The Grinch...at Christmas/NewYears (that general holiday season), the Grinch has a lair and he is the new "live ala Jim Carrey" Grinch...I haven't gotten to see him for a couple of years, but I remember he was INCREDIBLE! I was almost left wondering, "how did they GET Jim Carrey to do this???" :teeth:

The rest of the year, Grinch is much like the Grinch from the books and doesn't speak. We saw him yesterday walk over to someone who was sitting and he just took their map and walked off with it. MIB999999 asked the hostess that was nearby if the Grinch was lost and she replied that "we don't even know how he got here". :rotfl2:

DAI... er... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

That is the best story regarding a Universal character that I've ever heard. And I don't believe I've seen the furry Grinch before.

Then again, I just pass through Seuss Landing and linger around Marvel Super Hero Island and Toon Walk. :teeth:

The christmas grinch looks awsome. I wonder why they don't keep him all year long?
The other grinch :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: looks like something from one of those costume rental places.
My 8yr. old will like it anyway, and I guess that is all that really matters :rolleyes1
