Old Key West: Walk (long), bus or boat to Dowtown Disney. Bus to all parks.
BoardWalk: Walk or Boat to Epcot & Hollywood Studios. Bus to other destinations.
Beach Club: (Same as BW)
Wilderness Lodge: Boat or bus to Magic Kingdom. Bus to all other destinations.
Saratoga Springs: Walk, bus or boat to Downtown Disney. Bus to all parks.
Animal Kingdom Villas: Bus to all destinations.
Grand Floridian: Monorail to Magic Kingdom & Epcot. Bus to other destinations.
Bay Lake Tower: Monorail or walk to Magic Kingdom. Monorail to Epcot. Bus to all others.
OP: It's nothing like what you are used to at
Disneyland. Beach Club is very close to Epcot and Bay Lake is close to Magic Kingdom. But those two are mostly comparable to VGC-to-Disneyland. Nothing compares to the short trip from VGC to DCA.
I'll also add that pretty much every resort has give-and-take in its transportation. For instance, Bay Lake Tower is a pretty easy walk to Magic Kingdom. But the monorail trip to Epcot requires two separate trains with a switch at the TTC. Its bus service to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom is shared with another resort, and the trip is fairly long since that Magic Kingdom resort area is somewhat remote.
Point being, even if you have a relatively short walk/ride to 1 or 2 parks, chances are your trip to the other 2-3 will be longer. If you plan to visit the parks pretty equally, there's no great transportation benefit to a specific resort.
