This is our first trip down as DVC members and we are staying in a GV. After getting used to the daily "top-up" at the hotels we're not sure what we'll need to pack for our OKW stay.
We're checking in on Sunday and leaving Saturday. Is each bathroom filled with a full set of toiletries? Do they refill on trashntidy day (that would be Wed right?) Do we need to pay additional for more sets? If so, how much?
Sorry for all the silly questions...first timers...trying to figure out what we really need to pack :confused3

You'll probably have what you have in the other villas - a facial soap, a bath soap and a shampoo in each bathroom. Plus toilet paper. They replenish every fourth day.

I haven't stayed in a GV yet (although I hope to in 2008, so let me know if you learn anything interesting) but my guess would be that:
- you'll have enough soap
- you'll run out of shampoo
- you'll have enough towels if people can manage with 1 each but you may find that they don't dry very quickly
- you'll find that the "toiletries" list is shorter than in many hotels (i.e. if there is something specific that you need to have you may want to bring it)
- If you're coffee drinkers you'll need to bring (or purchase) more than is provided

I have never been charged extra for more toiletries, even when I have asked on non-mousekeeping days. (I like to keep bar soap at the kitchen sink.) I have asked for towels and expected to be charged but was not charged. Since you will have a full size washer and dryer, you can always throw in a load of towels on your way to a park. Bring extra laundry soap (although I have even been given more of that at no charge).

Good idea--don't know why that didn't occur to me. (Of course, I've only been to wdw with DW so far, so perhaps I just haven't needed it.)

:thanks:

That helps... we'll pack a little of everything and ask for extra when we need it!
