What can I do if my price on Jet blue has changed??

I booked my jet blue tickets and now the price has gone down by two hundred dollars will they honor the price reduction??

Define "honor". Call now, while the price is still down (they fluctuate). You will be given credit to apply to future flights within one year. You will not get any money back - all JetBlue fares are nonrefundable.

I also noticed that I had booked the wrong time for my outbound so they made the change for me and with the credit and the change fee it only costed me $39.00 for the change..


I hope that Jet Blue is as awesome to fly with as they are to deal with on the phone. This is our first time and so far they have been great!!!!!!!!

incidentally, if you make the change over the phone, it's $30. if you do it online, it's $25.

How do you know if your JetBlue airfare has gone down? Is it literally just a matter of plugging in your dates as if you were searching for airfare and seeing what they are charging? I check almost daily for our flights in August and if anything, they have gone up, not down...unless, is it to early to be checking for that timeframe?

Yes that is what I did and then called tthem. I am going to keep checking they told me my outbound flight is bound to go down soon too so to keep watching.

If the same thing happens with another airline, will they issue a credit too? Or is this something unique to Jet Blue?

For $30/person ($25 online) you can change your flight with JetBlue. So if the difference in price is over $30, you can cancel and rebook and get the difference as a credit for future flights.

Yes, they will honor the price reduction. They won't give you a refund, but they will issue a credit good for future trip within 1 yr. If you are a True Blue member, they will add credit to yr acct & you can use at a later date right online.
