My Mom gave me a set of stainless steel 22 years ago. It's called Tramontina, made in Brazil. The set is still in pretty good shape considering it's age. It looks a little worn but still works great. As a matter of fact it was the only item both my ex and I wanted to keep, so we split the set up! (I wonder if he is still using it too...)

I've got a set of Saladmaster cookware that is made of surgical stainless steel. I've had them over 20 years and they look brand new. Even my mother hasn't been able to destroy them and she's really hard on a kitchen.

I have the Calphalon Professional. I love mine too! I've bought a lot of it on Amazon.com and got it at a better price. Sometimes you get $50.00 coupons off your next purchase of Calphalon items.

Thanks for the tip about the acidic foods Leota. I've never thought about that. When I started purchasing Calphalon pots I bought a piece from Target that's the Calphalon Professional Non-Stick and I always used it for my tomato base stuff. Guess I should quit that huh?
