It's time to check in to see what everyone is reading? I just finished "Ireland" by Frank Delaney. It's a little long, but a great read. I hated for it to end.
Now, I'm reading "One Vacant Chair" by Joe Coomer. I'm only 70 pages into the book, but so far, it's really good.

I almost picked up Ireland but decided to get "The Rebels of Ireland" by Edward Rutherford instead. I haven't started reading it yet. I'm pretty excited because I have that and "In the Company of the Courtesan" by Sarah Dunant to read once I finish the book I'm currently reading - Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell.
Bernard Cornwell is one of my all time favorite authors and I never read this book. It's wonderful - I highly recommend it to anyone into historical fiction

At the moment - a phone book. I'm getting ready to order a pizza! :teeth:

Too funny! exactly what Im reading right now. Great story! :)

Driven to Distraction. I'll have to add the author later I don't have the book near me.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I enjoyed the new movie with Kiera Knightley so much I bought the book...unfortunately I'm not liking it as much as the movie. I think the movie was more romantic.

I'm reading Edgar Allen Poe's complete collection.

Sometimes I get a little scared when I read it...

I just finished "Micah" by Laurell K. Hamilton. I don't know what I'll pick up next. I should be writing a story for submission to a magazine.. I suppose I should concentrate on that.

I'm reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" right now. Just finished "The Lovely Bones" and "Lucky" by Alice Sebold. Also read "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks and "Wicked". I've been in a reading mood lately. All of them have been fantastic.

Hmmmm books, what are these books you speak of? Does the "Book of Dis" (aka DISboards count)

I don't seem to ever get the chance to really sit down and read a book except when the pool is warm enough (almost there) for me to float on my raft and read. That is my idea of the ideal Sunday when it's too hot in Orlando to do anything else.

Seriously, I have a pile of great books to read, and have not picked one up since September I bet.

Maybe if I stayed of the computer long enough I would have time to read....

Go Ask Alice.

Very Very good book.

My DD wanted to read this book when she was about 12 so I figured, "What the heck, let her read it & get some cold hard facts about drug use". About 12 pages into the book she was so scared that she brought it in my room & told me to get rid of it & that she was never trying drugs in her life!!!!!

She's 16 now & as far as I know, the book did it's job - even if she didn't read the entire thing.

I finished Second Glance by Jodi Picoult yesterday. I loved it. Today I started Mercy by Jodi Picoult.

OMG - the first book I read by her was "My Sister's Keeper" & I absolutely loved it. Probably the best book I ever read.

I then got Plain Truth & The Pact by her. Enjoyed them both, but was thoroughly moved by My Sister's Keeper.

I am currently "The Woman Next Door" by Barbara Delinsky. Pretty good, so far.

I'm on my last 40 pages of Catcher in the Rye.

Next will be a personal coaching book.

"Why Do I Love These People?"
Honest and Amazing Stories of Real Families.
--Po Bronson

Stories about real families, their rough roads and how they patched them.

I just finished Memoirs Of A Geisha. I didn't know if I would enjoy it but I really did, finished it in just a few days. I think next in line is The Mermaid Chair.
