What band would you like to go back in time to see in concert?

Inspired by all of the music threads this afternoon:

If you could go back in time to see a band that you missed out on (and obviously can't see today), who would it be?

For me, it would be Queen. I've always loved them, but they were a little before my time and of course, Freddie Mercury is dead now. I really wish I could have seen them.

How about you?

Beatles.

I was born about 20 years too late...Shoulda been a hippy :)

Queen for sure! I LOVE them. Sadly, I am old enough that I could've seen them live but never did. :(

Hey, if I'm going back in time, I'm not wasting it on a concert ;)

Another vote for the Beatles.

I did get to see the Bootleg Beatles at Kew Gardens in London last summer. Pretty much the next best thing.

I would love to be able to go back in time and see John Denver again :sad1:

Elvis
and the Beatles...

I was in Las Vegas in March of 1976 and my cheap girlfriend didn't want to pay $50 to see Elvis, so we saw Rober Goulet instead. I will always regret that decision, so now if I want to see someone, I will pay the ticket asking price (if reasonable).

I saw Queen once in concert. They stopped touring in the US in the late 70's though, Freddie didn't die until much later.

I'd have to say the only band that I have never seen in concert and never will unless I go back in time would be The Beatles.

I saw him sing "Country Roads" at the opening of West Virginia University's new football stadium in 1980......Great day to be a Mountaineer ::yes::

Another vote for the Beatles. And maybe The Who.

And yes, you would have liked Queen very much!:sunny:

Wow, I spent a lot of time in that football stadium. My best friend was a 1986 WVU grad. I was at NYU but would come down and party with the kids who really knew how to party -- that was one wild student body. Not much else to do in Morgantown but get drunk, I guess. Or at least there wasn't then.

I always loved John Denver, I suppose he would fall in the "embarrassing" songs thread. I liked him when he was in fashion, and I still like him today. When he died we lost a rare talent. :(
