Im anxiously awaiting to do some transfers on a few tshirts for my boys for our upcoming disney trip....

I am 1)NOT a crafty person, and 2) have NEVER done any sort of transfers or tie dye on any shirts

I have purchased the "design & Iron" transformations transfers from Michaels, just to try it out there are only 3 so who knows!

My tshirts are white and I believe these are the "light" transfers...

also for the tie dye i read a post regarding the "mickey" tye die and was interested in doing that but my thing is im confused on the stitch.... from what i believe its a wide stitch with dental floss-wax

So, I need any and ALL tips you can give me

I am no expert by any means, but I did do the tye-dye t-shirts once with my daycare. I have the MM head shaped cookie cutter. I turned the shirt inside out and traced that on the shirt. Then I used the wax type dental floss and made little stitches around the shape. Then you pull that together and you have a little ball. Tye dye as you wish. We did the head a different color. You need to soak the shirts in ash before you dye them. Somewhere on here there are step by step instructions. They were easy to follow. The shirts turned out cute, but I did not get the colors very dark or bright. If you are using light transfers, you have to flip the image that you are putting on the shirt. Good luck. They are fun to do.
