what are your July 4th plans?

DS & I will be up in the White Mtns for 5days
driving up Fri morn (woohoo - only 1 more wk!) and driving back home Tues night (hoping to avoid some of the traffic)

We're staying home!
July 4 is DH's birthday. Our communtiy has a parade that passes at the end of our street in the morning, so we will be there. In the evening, we will have his annual fireworks display, along with a few others on our street and a birthday cake for him.
It's nice this year to have the extra day, since we are both off work on Monday.

friends. The Lion King on the 4th! What fun!

Since my due date is July 4, I'm hoping to be home with my (at least) one week old baby. That doesn't look good though, so I'm just hoping to have the baby anytime before then.

Then I will not be watching any fireworks because the town next to ours canceled this year because the couldn't afford the insurance.

Then on July 5 my town will be having the community parade and picnic...because we live in a small church town and because the 4th falls on a Sunday we can't have the town celebration on a sunday... It would conflict with church....

Anyhow that is my backwards 4th....but on the July 6th I'm headed to WDW....and I'll watch fireworks everynight if I want...

Where flying to Beantown (Boston) to spend time with James' (DH) twin brother Jermaine and his wife and two children. It's our mini vacation before our big vacation.

I wish I knew. DH still doesn't know when he has to work so we have no plans. I may just make plans that we can do without him and take the kids someplace. I really need a vacation....

We are driving to Cranford, NJ for a wedding on July 3rd, then leaving that evening for a week at the cottage in Black Lake, NY (near the Thousand Islands). On July 4th, we'll be watching the fireworks over Boldt Castle!

Big plans at our house.

DH is turning 50 on the 4th. We're having a backyard party on the 3rd with a moonwalk for all the kids. I'm sure DH will climb in there too for his turn . DS4 & DS9 are going to love it because it's being delivered on Friday and not picked up until Tuesday. We are definately going to get our money out of that with all the kids around here.

On the actual 4th, we're going to MIL. All of DH's family is getting together to honor his brother who passed away last month. It's probably going to be the last time they are all "home" as MIL is going to be selling her little farmette. It's going to be a sad, emotional time.

And, of course, I've ordered fire works for that night -- in celebration of DH's birthday . The kids love doing this every year -- we have a hay ride out to the back pasture with a fantastic site of the communities fireworks.

Monday we're hoping to get a bit of relaxing in.

The 4th of July is my ds' bday. I'll be running around like a wild woman trying to make sure everyone at his bday party is entertained.

DH usually has off on Sunday and Monday and I have off Sat and Sun. He has to work July 4 but we will be off together on Mon. We'll probably just cook out then head to the beach to watch the fireworks. If it's a clear night we'll be able to see Atlantic City and Sea Isle City's, too.

Well, since this weekend we are moving into our new apartment, we plan to have a blast on the fourth. We are taking a river boat cruise where they serve dinner and have a live band and you can watch the fireworks from the boat. We plan to bring his daughter but my children will be staying with my mother because they are a bit young for that. I am off of work the friday before and the monday after so we will have lots of time to spend together. Monday we plan to go on a picinic by the lake and walk the dog, throw the friz bee and just be kids again.
