And CA?

I guess what I mean is, where do you like to just sit and people watch? And what areas play your favorite music in the background? If you were to just sit and relax for a half hour, enjoying nothing but your surroundings and some music, where would it be?

Our favorite place is in California Adventure where they serve the margaritas and beer! They usually have live music and it's fun. In disneyland, I would have to say across from the big thunder mountain there are a couple benches right in front of the water that we usually stop at.

tomorrowland terriace when there is a band playing.

Anywhere in NO square

forget the name but the plaza off the hub when there is a band playing there

We like to grab a dole whip and sit in the old Plaza Pavillion when they aren't doing cookie classes. You can see most of the hub from there but it is a little set back and shaded and quieter.

Oh... and that other place off the hub where there are sometimes bands or choirs playing is Carnation Plaza. Love that too!

If you want a bit of peace the upper deck of hungry bear resturaunt and watch the ducks. I love good old Main St to people watch. Add also another vote for NO square.... watch the pirates go by.pirate:

I agree that NOS has the most energy in the park. I love eating at the French Market and taking our time. Also, if we are taking turns riding and resting to stay with our little one, the lower deck of the Hungry Bear is a nice, peaceful place and the ducks are fun to watch as mentioned.

I love being at a table near the edge at RBT. Many people wander by since it is in front of Rivers and adjacent to POTC. Great place to have a coffee and relax.

Wine Tasting! lol

CA...
wine tasting
the Trattoria overlooking the sidewalk
leaning of the railing watching Californa Screamer take off
sitting outside at Ariels Grotto...upstairs or downstairs
sitting inside the Animation place

DL...
at night, sitting by Casey Jr. watching people and fireworks, soooo romantic
sitting in the waiting area of Blue Bayou and seeing all the angry people who try to do a walk up
the back corner area in New Orleans
outside at the Hungry Bear

GCH...
outside the cafe there's a sitdown area that you can catch that Miner show from, you're pretty secluded but can people watch alot over the park
the lobby, in general

I've always wanted to people watch at the Uva bar, but it's always been too cold for us at the end of the night

Anywhere in NO, even over facing the HM just sitting on the railing/bricks is fun. I love it when they have a good band playing!!

Hungry Bear is also a great place to relax and people watch. We like sitting downstairs and watching the boats and the canoes go by. And in a certain place you can see Captain Jack as he heads over to "his" island. :)

DL-
The fountain in NO by Haunted Manison, the jewelry store in NO (but that might just be me ;) ), or the front hub right at the top of Main Street

DCA-
wine tasting! I also love to relax in the Season of the Vine show, or just sit in the center of the Animation building listening to the songs as they play on the big screen

anywhere in DCA... :P

So you DO work in that park and not DL!! I'll only be spending one day there.. a week from Saturday. If you're working, look for two semi-pooh people (blonde girl and brunette boy) in matching Jack and Sally shirts. :rotfl:

Oh I have LOTS. In Main Street I like to sit on the benches outside the train station. Great view down Main Street to relax and people watch and GREAT parade viewing spot. Also like to sit on the benches near the old Crystal Plaza or whatever it was (the vacant restaurant by Adventureland). Nice cool shady spot to relax.

LOVE NOS as well. Just the atmosphere and that is why I love eating at Cafe Orleans. Has GREAT views of the Island and great people watching there!

I am another one who also loves the upper deck or lower even of Country Bear. Back in the back is the best. It is usually nice and quiet and peaceful. You can feed the ducks and watch the boats and canoes. Very relaxing, cool and peaceful!

I too also like to sit and watch the bands at Tomorrowland in the evenings in summer and also in tomorrowland it is nice to sit in the outdoor seating at Pizza Port.

And I guess in Fantasyland I would have to say over by Small world or Matterhorn. Some of the benches over there under the trees.

Now for DCA I like to relax at the winery or over at Pacific Wharf and also the Redwood Creek Trail has some nice benches to sit back and relax while the kids play.

There are so many places you can just sit back relax and watch. It is great!

If you want a bit of peace the upper deck of hungry bear resturaunt and watch the ducks.
The last many times I've looked they've had the north end of the upper deck closed off. That was an idyllic location - the DL Train on one side of you and the Mark Twain on the other. Has that spot been open anytime recently?

Another vote for Main Street here. We like to grab a spot on the curb while enjoying an ice cream from the Gibson Girl ice cream parlor.

The park bench on main street right in front of the castle. Grab an ice cream and people watch!!;)

At DL we just love to grab some popcorn and/or cotton candy and/or a smoothie (okay, actually all three!), and just ride the train around once or twice. We LOVE IT! WE LOVE RIDING AND RELAXING ON THE TRAIN! I guess maybe we're weird.:goodvibes

At DCA, we enjoy hanging out on the wharf enjoying a couple of beers while the kids watch the ducks.

(I have to say though, that if we were ever lucky enough to stay at the GCH, it would be kinda fun to have a room overlooking DTD. We could enjoy a cocktail or two, sit out on our balcony while listening to the musicians and watching the people. I think that could be kinda fun, and maybe even a little romantic. We could leave our balcony doors open, and DH and I could dance together to the music in our room. WHOA, that sounds awesome! )

Upper back of Hungry Bear

And by the lake across from Thunder Mtn by the old petting zoo... gee... remember the petting zoo?

Chalk up another vote for Hungry Bear and the train ride around the park. I find both a nice way to get off your feet and say "ahhhh" just for a little bit.
