What are you scared of???

getting old (with alzheimers) and ending up in a nursing home that is not fit for an animal.

having my son die before me

drowning

having my house broken into when i am alone and sleeping.

having my husband come home from a deployment and tell me he does not love me anymore

My only real terror is driving or riding on major highways. I was almost killed in a snow storm related accident years ago and I've never enjoyed highway driving since.

Other things I don't like:
Injections. Taking blood out is OK but not putting medication into a muscle. OUCH!

Wasps and Yellow Jackets. They'll sting you just because they can.

The Dentist! I can count on one hand the number of times I've had dental work done that it didn't hurt like crazy.

High Winds. Must go back to being a 7 year old when hurricane Carol struck. I can still remember the sound they trees were making as they fell. It sounded like screaming.

Roberta

Roaches!! :earseek: I run, scream, and climb on things just to get away!!

(regaining my composure now...) Dying and something happening to my children. :(

better question What am I not afraid of ??? LOL
Here are the big ones

CLOWNS ( evil I swear!)
Midgets ( I'm sorry if I offend anyone .I'm not a bad person I swear)
Birds
Under the bed

The thing that could kill me would be a midget wearing a clown suit with a parrot on his shoulder coming out from under my bed !

I would fall over DEAD right there

Creepy Crawly Bugs (of any kind, shape or size)
Flying Insects that sting or bite (bees, skeeters)
Crashing In An Airplane
Driving In The Snow
Thunderstorms with Wind and Bad Lightening
Seeing The Sky Turn That Funny Color Green Before A Bad Storm(everyone in the basement!)

I can go on and on . . .::yes::

flying roaches

tornados

suffocating

drowning (The thought of it absolutely terrifies me.)

Wow, Brer_Papa , ITA

Your answer below is exactly what I would have answered

{An honest question.....my honest answer...
The only thing I can think of that scares me is what kind of world will there be when my Grandkids approach adulthood.

With all the terrorist activity, the soaring cost of education, jobs heading overseas and "outsourcing" these jobs being defended by our politicians, the out of control medical costs, the "doom & gloom" forecasts concerning Social Security, the record budget deficits combined with the accelerated cost of staples (like milk) and watching gasoline prices seem to rise each day (these prices did go down yesterday) and basicallly our difficulties in Trade in a global market.....all this and more make me worry how they will fare when they reach an age to be on their own}

Hugs to you AND your grandchildren,
Marilyn

Spiders. I found one at work today and was shrieking in the middle of the store. Not good for business.

I have a paralyzing fear of spiders!

I am also fearful/hesitant of DOWN escalators....can not deal with them in sandals, or with my hands full...and if you are with me, you must go down in front of me and not talk to me!

I am also afraid of something happening to my eyes! That freaks me out the most of any potential injury.

Drowning is a big one too.....DH can attest that I dont even like my face wet! Drives me crazy! In the shower I have to always have a dry towel ready!

On the otherhand, while I dont want to come across a tornado, I LOVE thunderstorms and a good BLIZZARD to keep you in cozy by the fire for a few days....I know, I am odd!

Not at all! I completely agree! I am a HUGE fan of winter!

-outliving my children
-not living long enough to raise my boys to adulthood

Seagulls. I cannot sit and eat anything, on the boarkwalk or beach, when there are seagulls everywhere.

Pit Bulls. I know that some people love this breed, but no other breed strikes terror in me the way that one does. Except, I guess, Rottweilers, they scare me too.

No flames please, this is how I feel.....

And anything bad happening to anyone in my family.... I can keep myself up all night thinking about that...

The creaking of the house... late at night... when it's dark... :earseek:  :scared1:

1. Spiders
2. Elevators
3. Being locked in a closet, bathroom etc...
4. Death
5. flying
6. Being home alone at night
7. Certain illnesses

The list goes on and on and on
:crazy2:

I'm not sure I'm buying this.... ;)

I don't like spiders or needles. Not horrible fears, just dislikes.
