I just finished "Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women" and "Alcott in Her Own Time: A Biographical Chronicle of Her Life, Drawn from Recollections, Interviews, and Memoirs by Family, Friends, and Associates."
Next I'm moving on to "Appetite for Life" -- a bio of Julia Child.
I am reading Dandelion Wine.
Mountains Beyond Mountains tells the inspiring and human story of Dr. Paul Farmer, and his crusade to bring healthcare to Haiti and other forgotten corners of the globe. It is a deeply human story. It reveals the depth of poverty in Haiti, and opens our eyes to the need for equal access to medical care for all. It is a world-changing book, grounded in some deeply moving accounts of the heroic women and men who work hard to heal the world.
I'm reading Water for Elephants.

Just finished reading Cemetery Dance by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child last night. That book was a page turner, kept me riveted.
Today I started the latest Sookie Stackhouse book...Dead in the Family. Hope it's good.
The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World - Dr Howard Cutler and H.H. Dalai Lama
). I'll have to check that one out!I'm reading Meet the Spellmans. It's the first in a series about a family-run PI agency in San Francisco. So far, so good.
Love that series - and I didn't realize there was a new one! Thanks for the heads-up.I just bought the new release in a series that I have been reading for about 15 years; A River in the Sky, from the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters. The books are phenomenal mysteries/ historical novels about an early 20th century husband and wife egyptologist team. The author has a PhD in Egyptology and inserts the characters into actual events. So so good and educational!
