For Fun: Antony & Cleopatra... I love the way Shakespeare makes words and meanings dance. I only read the American english side by side version to show off the Bard's skill with double entendre.. our day to day language can only catch one meaning and the comparison makes his words shine brighter.... at least for me:lovestruc

Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult. Very, very good. The next one on my nightstand is The Pact by this same author.

Lady Chatterly's Lover by D.H. Lawrence.

I wondered why it was considered so scandalous nearly a hundred years ago.

Fudge Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke

Love how she includes the recipes in the book.

Haven't posted in a while. Here's my last few and current.

I've read A Thousand Splendid Suns (amazing!). Then Water for Elephants, also very good. Now I'm doing a double dip, which is unusual for me and one has taken control. So the next one I will finish is The Boleyn Inheritance. DH got it for me for Mother's Day. And I really liked The Other Boleyn Girl. I may read more of hers. The time period is interesting. The final choice is The Appeal, by Grisham. It's starting out kind of slow. But I'll read that when I finish the Henry VIII book.

I am in between books, I just bought four books today that I could not resist. So now I am in a quandary of which book I choose. I bought The Book Thief, Poison Study, a John Sanderson novel and a Dean Koontz book both of which whose titles I have forgotten. I think that I am going to read theJohn Sanderson book first.

I'm re-reading all the Diana Gabaldon "Outlander books in anticipation of the newest installment to be published in September. They're even better the second time! I'm currently reading "Voyager", third in the series.

you are only on the 2nd reading???? i often reread books, and these are at the top of the list when I want something easy and entertaining. thanks for the news of the latest installment! can't wait!!

I just finished rereading the Big Stone Gap series by Ariana Trigiani. Not sure what's up next. I have 3 or 4 from the library.

Right now I'm reading two books. The first is Barbara Michael's "Ammie Come Home." Anyone else read her? Also reading "The Woods"

I finished, Salvation in Death, by J.D. Robb. I enjoyed it. Lots of twists and turns. Didn't know who the culprit was until close to the end.

I'm starting, Death before Dark, by Wendi Corsi Staub. So far, I have enjoyed all of the books by her (that I could find). I expect this one will be enjoyable too. She has a similar style to Mary Higgins Clark.

I just finished Mary, Mary by James Patterson. (an Alex Cross novel) and it was really good. I could not put it down. Loved it. Last night I started Twilight. I was thinking I have to see what all the fuss is about. I am really liking it so far.

I have to find other authors that write a series like the Alex Cross series, or Temperance Brennan series or the Kay Scarpetta Series....I love series for some reason.

I love both the Temperance Brennan and the Kay Scarpetta series. James Patterson has another series that is really good. The Maximum Ride Series, you might want to try it.

I really love this thread I have found some great books that I may not have found otherwise. Thank you all for sharing.

I like her books. Another one similar in style that I just read is Cynthia Baxter. I just finished Monkey See, Monkey Die. She's a mobile veterinarian.
