I'm reading Pilate's Wife by Antoinette May. It's pretty interesting.
After I'm done reading Unfinished Business, which for some reason I'm not reading that quickly, I'm going to read The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry. Has anyone else ever read that?
I'm finally reading "Angela's Ashes." I'm about a quarter of the way through it and frankly, I'm not enjoying the experience. The family is dirt poor, the father comes home drunk and makes them sing patriotic Irish songs, one of his brothers or sisters dies, etc. So they move back to Ireland, where they're even poorer, more kids die, and the father drinks away his paycheck and makes them sing Irish songs.
It's just one damn thing after another. I'm about ready to give up.
My family and I have a theory...we think his wife wrote it. It was shortly after his recovery from the accident, I think. Or she finished it because it is comparable to her book.
7TH HEAVEN- James Patterson
Actually, the Fanning girls are not going to play the sisters. Here's the scoop from Wikipedia:
Dakota and Elle Fanning were originally set to play the sisters but Dakota changed her mind when she found out she would have to shave her head to play the Leukemia-suffering character of Kate. When they dropped out they were replaced with Sofia Vassilieva and Abigail Breslin.
Sophia is 15 yo and Abigail is 11 yo. That age range sounds about right for the girls in the book.
I'm reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. almost done.
I just finished "Into the Wild" and started one in spanish "El Plan Infinito" (Isabel Allende) I read one in english and then one in spanish. Isabel Allende is one of the best latin American writers.
Her books are in english as well, she's amazing.![]()
Really? I never thought of it that way.Actually, I felt that Tabby wrote or co-wrote several of his books BEFORE the accident. Bag of Bones, Rose Madder and Gerald's Game are a few examples. He has the female "voice" down pat in these books and it just didn't seem possible that King wrote them himself.
Yet I see his style in each.
But I did think that Tabby helped![]()
I'm reading "Sharp Objects" and it's ok. My book club picked it. Next up is "Into the Wild" (which is now a movie) by Jon Krakauer.
