I finished Water for Elephants last night and by the end I can say I enjoyed it. I started Sophie Kinsella's Remember Me? at lunch today. So far so good.

I just finished up Plum Lucky(LOVED IT, really laughed out loud) and now starting the a book by Suzanne Brockman and I'm also reading Intimacy Ignited. It's about keeping the fires alive whether you've been married 1 year or 25. It was recommended by the Chaplin it breaks down the Song of Solomon into up to date things and phrases we use now. I get bored and put it down and then start it again.

I'm reading Plum Lucky right now. It's hysterical. I love her books - they're fluff, yet I can't put them down.

The Undomestic Goddess by Sophia Kinsella. Its funny. I find myself laughing outloud.

I really liked that book, I enjoy of all Kinsella's novels!

How is Remember Me?? Can you let me know how it was when you're done. I really want to read it!

I just finished "Audacity of Hope". Next up is Nathaniel Philbrick's "In the Heart of the Sea"

Oh, and I'm reading Life of Pi right now but I'm struggling through it. It's not hard to understand, it is just boring so far. My cousin really liked it and recommended it to me so I'm trying to get through it!

I am about halfway through and so far I'm enjoying it. It's a little more on the serious side than her others but there is still a lot of humor and lightness. It's moving at a slightly slower pace than I'd like but really, I can't complain. :thumbsup2

I just finished reading My Horizontal life by Chelsea Handler. If you like her I suggest it. I also recommend Laurie Notaro, her books are very funny.

Just finished The Time Traveler's Wife last night. Loved, loved, loved it!!! :thumbsup2

This is the best book I've read in quite a while. What else have people who liked this book read recently?

On an unrelated note, I love the Sophie Kinsella books. I think the new Shopaholic is coming out in March. Does anyone know when in March? I'm hoping to bring it on our cruise.

I checked her website and it doesn't look like there is another Shopaholic book coming anytime soon. :guilty: Remember Me is her newest that came out this week.

Well, I am about half way through The Other Boleyn Girl right now. So good!

After reading Water for Elephants (so fabulous), my DH bought me two other Sara Gruen books, Riding Lessons and Flying Changes. These were pretty fluffy, but entertaining and quick, easy reads.

I've just about finished Duma Key by Stephen King.

I just started this. So far, it's OK. It's not really grabbing me, but there is just enough going to keep me reading. I'm curious to see what others think of this book.

There are no shopaholic books coming out in March. Shopaholic and Baby came out late December in paperback. I wish another one was coming out!

I've been reading this for the last few weeks (I can't find much time to read anymore :sad2: ). Parts of it really interest me and other parts - well, I phase out a bit. I do like it (I'm about 75% of the way through now) but it's a little inconsistent (in my humble opinion).

I'm a huge King fan and have ready everything by him (except for the Dark Tower books - I simply couldn't get into them - and Lisey's Story, which I do intend to go back to).

I even got to meet him in '94. It was during his Insomnia motorcycle tour. He gave a reading and I got to sit next to him onstage because DH gave me his press pass ;) There was also a brief reception after and I got to shake his hand. I made a fool of myself because my DD was only a few weeks old and I was a first-time Mom who was nursing. I shook his hand, mumbled something about loving his work but needing to get home to my hungry baby, and rushed away into the crowd.

:lmao:

I did end up with an autographed copy of Insomia. :thumbsup2

I always thought that King would be an intersting person to meet! I have not read all of his books, but of the ones I have read, I think that The Stand is my favorite. Insomia was good, too.

When I first started reading it I wasn't really crazy about The Time Traveler's Wife, but by the time I finished it, I had really enjoyed it.

One recommendations through the DIS I've also enjoyed The Other Boleyn Girl, The Kite Runner, Water for Elephants, Secret Life of Bees (not my favorite) & many others.

Wally Lamb is a great author. One of my favorite books by him is I Know This Much Is True. I can't remember the name of the other book I read by home, but it was good also. I haven't seen a book written by him in years, however.

I am currently reading Picture Perfectby Jodi Picoult. It is OK. Not great, but not that bad either. It's dragging a little right now & I'm trying to figure out why she introduced a character at the beginning of the book that seems to me should be an important part of the book - however, I've read through more than 150 pages since & they haven't mentioned him! :confused3

I just finished reading Shadow Music by Julie Garwood and am about to go back to finishing some of the books I have not read yet in the Christine Feehan Dark series! I was bad and read them out of order. :rolleyes1

The last few books I have read were Time Traveler's Wife (it was different, but I cannot say I loved it), Bel Canto (mesmerizing) and The Road (this was extremely disturbing but I could not put it down - I read it in about 6 hours).

To gear up for my WDW trip I am reading 2 books concurrently - Disney War (about Eisner) and The Kingdom Keepers.

Next on tap - I have several Jodi Picoult books lined up, as well as Atonement, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Love in the Time of Cholera (actually I have about 100 books stacked up - ready to read).

I need to figure out which books to take to WDW with me!
