Today I began reading Brad Thor, Takedown
I am going to check these out too when I get home from Florida.....
Right now, I am reading Predator by Patricia Cornwell.....Worst Kay Scarpetta book yet. She is way off track since her niece Lucy became a James Bond type...Lost my interest but I have read the series so I feel obligated to read them all.
Thyanks for the new author idea.
I'm on an Anita Blake kick after finding some of the novels at the library.
try A Touch of Dead!![]()
I used to love Kay Scarpetta and I stuck it out for a long long time, but now, IMO, they simply aren't worth it. The pacing is so screwed up and a lot of the good action happens while you, the reader, are stuck with someone else. And then it is over. Not to mention the disgusting and horrifying ways Patricia Cornwell has dreamed up for people to die.
I think she ran out of good ideas after she killed off Benton Wesley. They just went downhill from there.
I'll be interested to see what you think about the movie. I couldn't keep my eyes open any time I've tried to watch it. I think a big part of that, though is that I was so disappointed in the casting of Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon.I just finished "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown for a class. Now, I want to watch the movie and compare the two!
