I'll be interested to see what you think about the movie. I couldn't keep my eyes open any time I've tried to watch it. I think a big part of that, though is that I was so disappointed in the casting of Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon.

I'll let you know! :)

Just finished Summer on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber.

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. 1st download on my kindle!! love it!!!

Finally finished Pillars of the Earth, and World Without End by Ken Follett -both very good. Now I'm in the middle of The Virgin's Lover by Phillipa Gregory. I guess I'm stuck in a historical fiction groove right now.

I'm reading "While My Sister Sleeps" by Barbara Delinsky for my book club. I'm finding it to be very Jodi Piccoult, but not in a good way. I'm about 100 pages in and I'm struggling to actually like, or at least empathize, with any of the characters.

I'm reading 'The Lost Symbol' by Dan Brown. It's entertaining enough, but seriously, you'd think his writing would be of higher caliber given the fact that it took him 5 years to write this book. :sad2:

A Good Yarn by Debbie Macomber :thumbsup2 also reading Little House on the Prairie to my DD6. She's reading Cam Jansen makes me happy that she's enjoying reading like Mommy.:cutie: DH just finished Blink

can someone reassure me that Shutter Island picks up the pace a little?

Okay gang, refresh my memory........Outlander is good, right? It's less than $3 for the Kindle download, so I grabbed it, then I started thinking, "is this the one people talk about on this thread?"

If it is the one by Diana Gabaldon, YES! If you get hooked, make sure you read the rest of the series in correct order or you will get totally confused. Enjoy!

That's it, once I read it I'll go to B&N.com and get the order so I can read them in order. Great, another series for me to get hooked on and then have to wait for the next book............. :)

Reading Larceny and Lace by Annette Blair. Loved the first book in this series. Love her other Witch series too.

It's funny I posted my first comment to this thread about reading Echo in the bone and then my mom brings over The Lost Symbol by dan brown. I'm ready to have a book discussion. Anyone?

I completely agree with this!!! However, I liked him a whole lot more in Angels and Demons. Go figure!

Finished "Fairy Tale" yesterday, and honestly, I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone. It was so trite and predictable. I was hoping for something really good, and this just didn't fit the bill.

Now, I'm reading "Love Walked In" by Marisa de los Santos. So far, so good, but I'm only about 13 pages in. This is our book club book, so I need to get it read before our meeting.

I'm still waiting on "The Idiot Girl's Action Adventure Club" at the library. I think I'll stop by there later and grab some other stuff while I'm waiting.

I read this one last year and it wasn't bad. Not something that would go on my list of all-time favorites but it was enjoyable and held my interest.

In that case, I'll rent the DVD when it's out.

Please let me know what your book club thinks of this after you discuss it. It could possibly go into ours, too.
