I use this thread to get ideas for books, and as a help I would like to add a correction::)

one book mentioned is actually "The Irresistible Henry House" (not Incredible) and it seems to be Nook only, is that correct? Not a problem for me, but just in case others need to know!:)

Thank you all for you recommendations and comments!!!!!:)

Just finished Bel Canto and really enjoyed it! It was not something I would have chosen if it were not so highly recommended on this board so thank you! Hoping to begin The Irresistible Henry House this weekend.

I just finished 'Call Me Mrs. Miracle' by Debbie Macomber. It's a very well written Christmas story. (So put it on your list of Christmas reads next holiday season!)

If someone could recommend one of her other books, I'd appreciate it!

I finished "The Lost Hero." Wonderful book!!!

My DS11 just read that for his book report!

I'm reading Heat Wave, the Richard Castle book. (if you watch the show Castle you'll know what I'm talking about)

I am not much of a fiction reader, so I am reading Conceived in Liberty, Volume I: A New Land, A New People: The American Colonies in the Seventeenth Century by Murray Rothbard and Human Action: A Treatise on Economics by Ludwig von Mises. It will probably take a year to get through the complete sets.

I didn't know that they were making books from the series. I like the show but though I wonder how good the books could be as much of the humor comes from Nathan F.

I've read many of her books and always enjoyed her. The book that got me really hooked was "Changing Habits". However, I love any of her books in the Cedar Cove series if you think you might want to read more than one. I can't remember the name of the first in the Cedar Cove series, but I find it helps to read those in order.

Aha-I looked it up and the first is "16 Lighthouse [road?]" and the second is a street that starts with a 2.

I just finished Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I think Reese Witherspoon is playing the lead when the movie comes out.

That book was one of the best books I have read and probably my favorite that I read this year, along with the Hunger Games. i LOVED it. Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson are playing the leads in the movie, I can't wait!

Starting a new challenge on my Goodreads site, 52 Books in 52 Weeks, woo hoo! Just finishing up Private by Kate Brian, a YA book. Easy read for the drive back to STL from home.

Trying to decide what to start tomorrow!

Saw the previews for the movie last night! It looks really good! Hal Holbrook plays the old man! I can't wait!!! I hope they treat it really well!!

I finished "The Egyptologist" by Arthur Phillips, yesterday. It did not live up to it's potential! I was really disappointed that I had spent so much time on it! Oh well, live and learn.

Today I will start "Woman in Red" by Eileen Gouge.

I agree with Simba's Mom, Cedar Cove is a good series. I also recommend the Blossom Street series too.

I'm reading Lydia's Charm by Wanda Brunstetetter. It stinks:confused3

Yesterday I stocked up with a ton of books with the big Barnes & Noble sale so I hope to have some really good books to tell you all about!!!

Happy New Year!

Two good books by Nora Roberts:
Happy Ever After - the final book in the wedding planner series
The Search - good thriller about a professional search & rescue dog trainer

I didn't either and then I saw them and just HAD to get them. I have the first two book they did. It has the same sort of banter in the book that the show has. So far I like it, probably just because I love the show so much! ;)

I love Debbie Macomber's books!!

Just finished Not Lost Forever, by Carmina Salcido (with Steven Jackson). Very sad, but inspiring.

"Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. I'm about 1/3 of the way through and so far it's really good!
