I thought I was the only one! It took so much for me to actually finish that book. I didn't get the hype at all :confused3 oh well :)

I know...everyone I talked to says "OMG I LOVED the Help" its just wasnt all that for me, I will see the movie on DVD of course and I'm glad I read it

I am reading Confessions of a Shopaholic, started it about an hour and a half ago and am halfway done so its a quick read! Not sure if I love it but it's alright. Depending on the end I may read the sequels.

Hope everyone had a happy Christmas/holiday!

I read this and the rest of the series when they first came out. If I remember correctly, they got better for me as the series went on.

I just finished it and I liked it enough to request the sequel from the library, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would but it sounds like they will get better :goodvibes Did you see the movie?

After finally finishing Towers of Midnight, by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, I'm trying to clean my palate with Slave by Cheryl Brooks.

I received a Nook Color for Christmas from my hubby!!!!! :cool1: I'm reading a paperback right now, but I can't wait to use it for my next read!

DH bought me The Hunger GAmes trilogy for Christmas and I read book one yesterday. It was a quick read. Pretty good, but a bit cliche and predictable. I had high hopes for it since it was so highly recommended. Even for fiction, I had to suspend a lot of disbelief (and I'm a writer who writes urban-fantasy!). Today I'm tackling book two.

I am reading They're Watching by Gregg Hurwitz. I started it last night and it's pretty good so far! I don't usually read suspense/mystery/"adult books" (haha) but I think I will like this one.

I am finishing up The Nasty Bits by Anthony Bourdain (I'm a big fan) and then I will start Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse) by Charlaine Harris. I have so many books lying around and I need to get to my reading! :rotfl:
I spend too much time surfing and reading the Boards. :surfweb:

I have the latter on my books to read list. Looking forward to hearing what you thought of it.

Left to Tell sounds moving. I will check it out.

I am reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

As a surprise...Incredible Henry House has a Disney component to it. =)

i always have like five books on the go at once. rite now the ones i can think of is baby proof, elizabeth and phillip and the duchess(i think! its the one the movie was based on).

I received at total of $150 of amazon.com gift certificates. Can't wait to load up my kindle!

I did see the movie and thought that it was just ok. I can't really remember much about it so I guess that says a lot :)

I got one, too!!! I knew I was getting it, so I spent the last 3 weeks downloading books. When I opened it yesterday, I started right in on "The Lost Hero."

I finished "Too Late to Say Goodbye" and it was gripping. A real life murder mystery. Written quite well, and very compelling!

I was going to start "Angelica" by Arthur Phillips, but got my Nook color yesterday, so instead, I started "The Lost Hero" on my Nook!!! I'll still read Angelica, but it's going to have to wait!

I just got a bunch of Amazon gift cards so my Kindle will be filled with new books soon. I'm going to start Water for Elephants tonight!

Really? That is surprising. And intriguing ...

By Rick Riordan? Looking forward to reading that one too. Did you read The Red Pyramid? I liked it, but it was nowhere near as good as The Percy Jackson series ...

I read this book a couple months ago and LOVED it. It was one of those books that you read and it automatically becomes one of your favorites. I hope you like it as much as I did! I can't wait to see the movie adaptation :)
