Mockingjay was just amazing! I loved the ending, though I wouldn't have guessed what it would be with so many twists and turns in the story.

Now I'm reading Gone With The Wind. This is one that I've always wanted to tackle and I guess this is the time for it to happen.

I totally agree with you on Mockingjay! Absolutely amazing!!!

I hope you enjoy Gone With The Wind. It's one of my favorites!

The 9th something or other by James Patterson. It's his latest and I don't have it near me. It's a very easy read. Almost too easy.

Well, DH took the computer to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so I got a lot of reading done.

I finished Day of Infamy. It was amazing! Quite a look at Pearl Harbor!

Next up was A Thousand Splendid Suns. I think I actually liked it more than The Kite Runner. I'm not sure why.

Now I'm reading A Bright Forever. I'm only a few pages in, but it's really got me disturbed.

A Thousand Splendid Suns is one of my favorite books.

I downloaded 10 books onto my kindle last night; not sure which one I'm starting.

I also enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns. Loved The Kite Runner too.

I've got "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Lark Rise to Candleford" on deck. Which should I read first?

Partially through "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo".....and during my long runs I'm listening to an amazing audiobook called "Born to Run" that i HIGHLY recommend even if you aren't a runner. :)

Read Hunger Games and Catching Fire. Currently about 1/2 way thru with Mockingjay. Excellent books. I have really enjoyed reading them back to back.

Love this thread!!!

Just started Coming Home by Maiah Stewart. Thanks to the DISer here who recommended that author. Even though I just started it this morning, I love it so much already, I went online and ordered Home Again already.

Hmmm, don't know. I haven't read with one of them though I've seen Girl With The Dragon Tatoo mentioned quite a few times here.

I'm currently reading Glass Houses: The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine.

Just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo and the two follow-up books..then the three Hunger Games books. Now reading The Last Time I Saw You. Next up will be the two newest James Patterson books.

I finished Between Sisters by Kristin Hannah.
I didn't really think it was that good.
I loved her Winter Garden though.

Next up: The Reader by Bernhard Schlink and
My Name is Mary Sutter by Robin Oliveira

The Dead Girls Party: The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine.

Between Sisters wasn't one of my favorites by her. I enjoyed Winter Garden much more.

I finished, Night Time Is My Time. It was a good, suspenseful mystery.
I recommend it if you like mysteries.

I started a book, Exclusive, I can't remember the author's name. I've read a chapter and I'm not really into it. I'm going to give it some more time. The characters are interesting, but there's something about it that isn't grabbing me.

I also picked up, One For The Money. I was just browsing and looking for something interesting. I may start that one if the first doesn't pick up.

Has anyone read "The Connections" by Jonathan Franzen?

His new book, "Freedom" was reviewed in our local paper today & sounded pretty good. Actually, it's at the top of the best seller list.

Any reviews on any of his books?

I don't think I ever did get around to reading The Corrections (I know I bought it because I remember donating it to the library sale a couple of years ago:rotfl:) but I downloaded Freedom to my Kindle a couple of days ago and I LOVE it so far!!

The main characters are really, really well developed - I've read some reviews that say how unlikeable they are but you really get into their heads and see how and why they behave the way they do. I'm really enjoying reading it right now.

I'm about halfway through with The Appeal by John Grishom. It's an easy read.

I am currently reading "Nightlight: A parody" by The Harvard National Lampoon. It is a spoof they wrote on "Twilight" and so far it is hilarious.
