Working my way through The Drums of Autumn in the Outlander series.......It is good but not quite as good as the last three..........Go Jamie and Claire:):)

I started reading The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova. I think I'm going to take it back to the library, though.

I've come to realize that I liked The Historian for it's accounts of Dracula and the historical information provided about so much of Eastern Europe. She's just as wordy without subject matter that I'm enjoying.

I do think that Kostova did sacrifice story for flowery descriptions of setting, in The Swan Thieves.

Reading the 9th book in the True Blood series...I read the first 5 in about a month then had to take a break, read the next 3 and just about 1/2 thru "Dead and Gone" I am really enjoying this one and looking forward to the new one out May 10

I just ordered the first 3 "Dexter" books

In the middle of "Committed" NOT as good as "Eat, Pray, Love"

I finished reading "Baby Catcher" and it was fabulous! I highly recommend it!

Then I read "Apple Turnover Murder" by Joanne Fluke. I can't wait to try some of the recipes. Next up is "East of Eden." I've never read it, and it's been highly recommended to me. We'll see.

I'm leaving on a trip this weekend, so while I'm in the air, I hope to read "The Pluto Files" and "A Lesson Before Dying."

Are you there Vodka? It's me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler

It's ridiculous, raunchy, fun!! She is hilarious to me!:rotfl:

Currently about halfway thru one of my all-time favorite books:

"The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexander Dumas

This book has it all!!! Intrigue, romance, revenge - great book.

Reading it on my nook

I just started "Hooked for Life - Adventures of a Crochet Zealot" by Mary Beth Temple. It's really cute so far and *bonus* it comes with 3 crochet patterns!

I was wondering about her book! :) I saw the cover the other day and I got a chuckle out of that. I've only seen snippets of her show, but she is funny (as much as I don't want to laugh).

I finally got my hands on The Help. I'm about halfway through and am really enjoying it. I just need a longer block of time to read!

I also received an advance copy of My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares. I'm only about 75 pages in but it has potential of being a fave. I'll let you know. It comes out in June I think.

Oh I was looking at "Are you there Vokda, its me Chelsea?". It looked funny.

Okay, I am not loving the Sookie Stackhouse books but I am not hating them either. Its kind of like watching a not great drama but you can't stop watching because your hooked.

I am on book 4. I started it today.

Ah... the 4th book. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

I finished A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry, great story. Today I started Someone Knows My Name by Lawrence Hill.

I've finally finished A Crown of Swords by Robert Jordan. I enjoyed it as much as the other six in the series. Think I might go ahead and start Book 8.

Just finished The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Good book, very educational, but also sad.

Not sure what to read next. I have to see what is on my shelf. I'm thinking of going to The Book Barn (HUGE used book store) this weekend so hopefully I will come out with a ton of new books to read. :rotfl:

I'm going to look for Are You There Vodka, I keep hearing how funny it is and after that last book I could use a funny one.

Just finished "The Pluto Files" by Neil DeGrasse Tyson. This was a wonderful book, written by one of the men who helped demote Pluto. It was a fantastic read! My 10 year old, picked it up after me, and he loved it, as well. It's full of information, as well as a lot of fun. I'd highly recommend it!

Now I'm reading "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck. Very good, as well!

I'm almost done with "The Alpine Traitor", a cozy mystery. I couldn't keep all the characters straight. Next up is good ole' Susan Mallery-I don't know the name of the book, but it's about a girl named "Izzy" who gets her eyesight hurt in an oil rig explosion. I know it's part of a series, and I've read the other books in the series.

I'm reading A Letter to My Daughter by Maya Angelou. It is supposed to be an inspirational/learning book for a daughter she never had.

IMO, if you want to read a wonderfully inspirational book, read The Ultimate Gift.

The only good thing about Angelou's book is that I'm almost finished with it.
