You're right, Sophie Kinsella also writes the Shopaholic books, I thought that they were much better than the movie version. My favorite book by her so far though is Twenties Girl. I highly recommend it!!

I was surprised at how much I liked Twenties Girl! One of my favorites of hers as well!

I'm reading "The Broker" by John Grisham.

To those discussing "Twenties Girl" by Sophie Kinsella -- I had such a cool experience with that book. I happened to pick it up not long after my Great-Aunt Alice had died. She was born in 1911 and died in 2008 at the age of 97. When I was little she used to tell me all about how she was a flapper when she was a girl. She showed me her dropped-waist party dresses and her fancy high-heeled shoes and jewelry.

The main character reminded me so much of my aunt. It just made that book so poignant to me. It made me feel like I had a piece of my aunt back. :)

Been a while since I've checked into this thread. I try to stay away when my "Books to Read" list gets too long, LOL! :)

I recently began Game of Thrones, which I was enjoying immensely, but got interrupted by 2 interlibrary loan books that came in.

I've Got Your Number - newest novel by Sophie Kinsella. LOVED it as usual! Whenever I need a light read, Kinsella is always my first choice!

11-22-63 by Stephen King - I cannot put this book down! Have about 75 pages left. Thanks to everyone that recommended this book. I don't normally read King so wouldn't have stumbled upon it on my own.

Looking forward to getting back to Game of Thrones! I might just have to start from the beginning again though, lol.

Re-Reading The Hunger Games. I can't wait to see the movie! I'm going at midnight. Anybody else?

I finished the newest Pretty Little Liars and Lying Game novels. I know these are meant for teens but I'm hooked on them! Pretty Little Secrets was more of a filler book though and didn't really advance the plot at all.

I'm also reading Always a Baker, Never a Bride. It was free on my Kindle. Only about 3 chapters through it but it's cute so far.

...

DH, DS18 and I are going to a midnight showing. Then, Friday night, we are all going again, this time adding DD23 and two friends who are coming from out of town (driving 2 hours and 6 hours, respectively) to a 7:20 showing. So excited!

I finally finished The Night Circus yesterday. It was ok. I would actually like to see it as a movie someday just so I can see the circus tent and some of the rooms. I had difficulty with the jumps in the timeline. If it weren't for that I think I would have liked it a lot more.

I'm reading Melissa Sue Anderson's biography of her time on Little House. It's called The Way I See It and, so far, is very different from Alison Arngrim's biography.

Right now I'm finishing A Rather Lovely Inheritance. I am enjoying it-just have a couple more chapters to go so hopefully I'll finish it this weekend. Then I've got a few other books to read (including I've Got Your Number which everyone is mentioning! Love Sophie Kinsella books) PLUS I just got a Nook for my birthday on Monday.

Twenties Girl does sound interesting. I will have to look into it and maybe download it on my nook.

I got a nook tablet for Christmas and the first book I downloaded was 11/22/63. I also could not put it down. Great reading!

I started Rhett Butler's People. Its the authorized prequel and sequel to Gone With the Wind. Entertaining so far, but I am getting side tracked and haven't read as much as I wold like to.

Ok so I just had to see what all the fuss was about with Fifty Shades of Grey. I got it Friday at lunch and finished it Saturday afternoon when I immediately downloaded Book Two. I will probably finish the triology by the end of the week. :rolleyes1:blush:

Yes, there are some extremely sexual scenes but I'm loving ALL of the book. I can't wait to find out what happens with the two main characters.

I read Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter last week and HATED it. It was SOOOO boring and such a drag to get through. It took me over a week to finish it because it was just so boring and torture to get through...it came highly recommended and had great reviews but I really just HATED it lol!

I read Replay by Ken Grimwood over the weekend and really liked it.

Finally jumped on The Hunger Games bandwagon yesterday, and read the entire first book in one sitting. I didn't do that intentionally, but I just HAD to find out what happened next at end of every chapter. Finished the entire thing in about 7 hours. I'm reading Catching Fire now.

I LOVED The Night Circus. I just flipped back to a previous chapter if I got confused about the timeline. I thought it was a beautifully written book-the imagery was SO pretty and I really felt like I was there.

I finished 'The Belly Dancer' by DeAnna Cameron and I thought it was a great book. I am now reading Royal Affairs by Leslie Carrol. I recommend her if you like historical books. She writes in a way that makes history intriguing.

Ohhh, I have 50 Shades of Grey on my wishlist. Looks pretty raunchy :woohoo: I just started Mill River Recluse so as soon as I'm done that, I will start 50 Shades of Grey:banana:

I'm in the middle of Devoted by Dick Hoyt, about Team Hoyt - a man who participates in races and triathlons with his wheelchair-bound son. Next up is Prairie Tale by Melissa Gilbert, the final book in the "Little House on the Prairie" trilogy of autobiographies. Alison Arngrim's and Melissa Sue Anderson's autobiographies were good, but very differently structured.

Today some Mormon missionaries knocked at my door and gave me this. Well I might as well read it...
